It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our long-standing volunteer & beloved friend, Ruth Gallegos. We shall always remember her boisterous laugh, and husky voice, the snap of the gum when you knew she was going to bust a snarky one-liner, and most especially her heart full of love for not only her own, but everyone else around her! Rest in the joyfulness of Paradise, Ruth. ... Please keep the family in your thoughts & prayers. Information for services will follow once information is garnered.
The family of Dan Holloway has set up a memorial fund in his honor. Donations can be made at PayPal (https://www.paypal.com/us/home). Contributions will be dire...cted to the fund by using [email protected] to identify the account. If you do not use PayPal please send us a message and we are happy to arrange another method. The Holloway family thanks you for supporting Dan! Funeral Services to honor Daniel C. Holloway will be held on September 30, 2020 at 10a at Rose Hills Memorial Park (https://www.rosehills.com/). We are thankfully able to honor him as they will have a tent set up alongside the SkyRose Chapel for us to gather outdoors. The tent will accommodate 260 people with seats set up to be socially distanced, and if more people show up than can be seated, available space on the adjacent lawns will be available to stand. Rose Hills mandates masks to be worn by all those who attend and request that all flowers be delivered no later than 9a that Wednesday morning. If choosing between flowers and a contribution to Dan's Memorial fund the family requests donations to the fund in order to honor Dan. You may bring bottled water if you like, however, no food is allowed. After the program the body will be taken to the burial plot that is directly next to the tent, so no additional travel is necessitated. There will be no reception to follow in light of the current climate. We understand this is a very emotional time. If there are any questions please feel free to ask and we will do our best to answer them. We look forward to seeing those whom my father loved and those who loved him. Love, The Holloways

***LPNLL UPDATE*** It is with the greatest of sorrow that we inform you of the official cancellation of our 2020 Little League Season. Following the recommendations and guidance from Little League International, our local health department, the CDC, and California's Phase 3 reopening, we have no choice but to cancel our season this year. We had remained hopeful that we could offer some kind of season later in the summer, but out of concern for our players, volunteers, famili...es, and the community, and in view of our little league park still being under heavy construction, we feel this is the best decision. Our season's fees were paid for before the pandemic and it is quite unfortunate that some will not be credited back to us, and others will be rolling over to next year, and because of this issue, we hope you can please bear with us as patiently as possible. Due to the aforementioned issue we will be offering 80% of the registrations paid in a future scheduled refund, or you are offered a choice of rolling it over for credit for the new season in 2021. We will be reviewing our books in order to be able to process this accordingly. City grants that you may have received will be processed differently per the advisement of the community center. If you bought carnival wristband coupons, we will be offering refunds for those as well. Once we receive a confirmation from our city representative, we will be informing you of the location, date and time when you can stop by within social-distancing guidelines for your choice of an 80% refund or crediting your child's season next year. We apologize for not having posted updates accordingly to your wishes during these worrisome times. We hope you can understand that we tried our best to bring forth a season for our families and players, but it was taken out of our control because of what is going on. Even though the season has been cancelled, our current board of volunteers remain active, working behind the scenes to do what we can and we are always here if you have questions, comments or suggestions. Our hopes remain that your family will stay safe and well, and we will see you back on the field in 2021!
