The Language of Flowers 30.11.2020

Saturday, March 14, I had the honor of adding some beauty to the lovely wedding of Kelsey Berry and Hunter Howard. It may have been the last wedding of spring 2020. The pandemic was announced three days earlier, but you wouldn't know it from the joy and hope that abounded! I met Kelsey through Calvin & Kelli, and I loved seeing how their church community came together for this bride and groom. Alex Hartsell hand-built this gorgeous arch, which made a perfect backdrop for the ...ceremony, the head table, and photos against the Sierra foothills sunset. Marty and I decorated the arch with eucalyptus, white roses, and baby's breath. I used a variety of garden roses, classic roses, and spray roses from Eufloria Flowers. I've been using Eufloria since my first wedding (my daughter's wedding), and I'm praying their business survives this pandemic. The bridal circlet is made from eucalyptus, wax flowers, and gypsophila. There were so many personal touches that made Kelsey & Hunter’s wedding special. Kelsey lost her mother at a young age, and her mother’s presence was felt by adding her photo to the bridal bouquet, and a handwriting-matched inscription was added to the arch from her mother. Please pray for all the spring brides who have had to postpone or their weddings, and for the vendors who have lost their income during this busy time of year. I'm sharing this again so one of my brides can see it. This post about bouquet wraps features colors and textures. Even with white on white we can do tulle on satin, lace on satin, pearls, different textures of ribbon.

I used Eufloria's Sorbet Avalanche in an arrangement for church today, and it reminded me that I never posted the bouquets I made for the Mascarenas wedding last November. I took a year off from wedding flowers because I fell, then had rotator cuff surgery (and a year of physical therapy). Facebook keeps reminding me that I have been neglecting my Language of Flowers page. I plan to remedy that and start showing you some of my floral creations again. With Eufloria Flowers

I love it when Jmh Schwanke features Eufloria Flowers! I enjoyed the introduction (since my business is called The Language of Flowers). I got hurt last fall, and had rotator cuff surgery in February. I miss stopping by Eufloria! Chad Nelson, good job! I also enjoyed naming all the Eufloria roses that were featured. Freesia is another one of my favorite flowers. I get mine from Skyline here in Nipomo. And, thank you for the recipes. I grow lavender but I haven't tried using it in food.

Blending Colorado countryside with Aly’s central California coast roots, this wedding included so many personalized touches at the remarkable Edwards Barn. Congratulations, Alyson & Zane! Thank you, Jeffrey San Juan Photography for your gorgeous photos! With roses from Eufloria.

Kelly & Matt #thedozatimestwo Winter Wedding. We decorated the sanctuary, eucalyptus and whites for the aisle and the wooden backdrop. We transferred the eucalyptus and arrangements to the reception to add to the decor there. #CanyonHillsSLO #VeteransMemorialSLO with Kelly Mendoza

Merry Christmas! Two wreaths, one I made for my Secret Santa, and one made with help from my granddaughters.
