New Lange addition Buster is living his best here at our kennel. He was found earlier this year with an old injury to his leg. When he was at the vet a new development occurred - a seizure. Next step was to start him on medication and the Good Samaritan that found him decided to keep him. Unfortunately a change in life led to Buster in need of a new home. Before entering the shelter, we intervened and took him into our care. He has been with us a short time, but has alrea...dy opened up SO much. He is playing, running, and begging for belly rubs - such a cute sight! Hanzee was rescued from the West LA shelter with a mangled front arm. Our orthopedic surgeon at ASEC did everything to try and save the leg, but unfortunately due to extensive nerve damage the best thing for Hanzee was to amputate his front left leg. Both the veterinary staff and our staff have never seen a cat more delighted to be rid of a limb. He is happy on his 3 legs and is not letting that stand in his way. Hanzee is playing, running, and climbing just fine He is a little superhero and we are so excited for his future. Dorothy is the sweetest, roundest, and most lovable tortie around! At 12 years old she found herself at the Lancaster shelter. Luckily, she didn’t stay long and was brought to our St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary. After a few months, we transferred her to our West LA Kennel and we are absolutely smitten with her! She is such an easygoing cat and would make a terrific sidekick. She has a shortened tail that is the cherry on top of a perfect kitty sundae.
