2021 Lakeside Home Run Derby Winners!! In the Majors Division, Jaxson Stewart (Padres), went LONG crushing 5 Home Runs in the First Round, 1 in the Second to advance to the finals, 2 to tie and another off of a GOLDEN BALL to take the Championship!! Our Adults Division was won by our AAA Smokies Manager, Jake Marjama, who smoked 7 HRs!! 2nd Place went to T-Ball A’s manager, Nic Delyon. 3rd Place was 2018’s Champ, Darren Haugh!!

The Lakeside Little League Board is working hard to put together our 2021 Spring Season. We surveyed Lakeside families a few months ago and got almost 250 responses. It was nearly unanimous that our community wants to play baseball this year. In the comment section, the most frequently used phrase was Let Them Play!. ... Although SO many things are uncertain at this point, our goal is to provide you with certainty where we can, provide information on the upcoming season, and give you the opportunity to ask questions. In the coming weeks, we are conducting manager interviews for AA, AAA, and Majors, trying to figure out how many teams we will have in each division, and working on a number of behind the scenes logistics to make sure we play baseball this year. Also, we are planning a Zoom session for later this month to answer community questions related to our league. What we need from you: Sign up if you intend to play! If your child(ren) turns 8 on or before August 31, 2021 and is even remotely interested in participating in AA or above, please sign up before January 23, 2021. If your child(ren) was born September 1, 2013 or later, please sign up before February 1, 2021.

I hope everyone is getting ready for the holidays! A few things to update the League on: 1) Registration It is ongoing and available at Lakesidell.org. Get registered sooner rather than later our Board is hard at work getting ready for the season. The more kids that register early, the better we can prepare. 2) New State Regulations for Youth Sports The State has issued new guidance as it relates to youth sports on December 15. Here is the official link for the CDPH: ht...tps://www.cdph.ca.gov//outdoor-indoor-recreational-sport As you can see, baseball is in the red category. Also, there is a prohibition on team activities until January 25 (but this will be revisited by January 4). Our tryouts are currently scheduled for January 23. We are working on the logistics to see if it is possible to hold tryouts on the 23rd. They will be at Feist Park instead of Arena Softball. Please bear with us as we work out the details and know there is a possibility that tryouts will get postponed. Lakeside Little League is committed to playing baseball this spring. In the event a normal season is simply not possible due to State and County regulations, we have been working on contingency plans for scrimmaging and other pods set up for our community so a second Little League season is not missed. You will notice in the registration that you have the opportunity to request friends at our upper divisions. We will keep you abreast of any future developments as we know them.
