The holiday season is a great time to show appreciation for all the blessings in our lives and to think about those who are less fortunate and how we can give back. Take this time to reflect on 2020 and how you, as a family, can work to make our society more accepting. For a more effective conversation, encourage a multidimensional view of others. Young kids tend to view people as either good or bad. Help your kid to recognize human complexity and learn about the similarities and differences between us.

Try making your own Star of David this holiday season! All you need for this fun craft is 6 popsicle sticks, some glue, and any decorations you want. Start by gluing 3 popsicle sticks into a triangle and then do the same with the other 3 popsicle sticks. Once they’ve dried, put the triangles on top of one another in the shape of the Star of David and glue them together. If you try this activity DM us a picture of it to be featured on our social media!

How is distance learning going for your family? If you answered, "not well", then it's time to make the switch to LearningWorks Academy! LearningWorks Academy is a new virtual elementary school that provides smaller class sizes, including one-on-one instruction. Our academic day runs for 5 1/2 hours, and movement breaks are included throughout the day to give your child ample time to stretch and take in some fresh air! The best part? Parent involvement is minimal! You don't ...have to hold your child's hand every step of the way throughout the day. Unlike traditional schools who have been forced to adjust to teaching their class online, LearningWorks Academy has always been virtual and their teachers are trained to help your child succeed.
