I am so honored to do the work I do. I am honored that women trust me with their bodies when they hold a precious life inside of them. I am honored when they come to me after birth- again trusting me with their often fragile bodies to help restore bones/organs and muscles back to healthy function. And today- I am buried in tearful gratitude that another incredible woman trusted me: she trusted me to help her while holding this life inside of her- and today- even during this ...covid scare- she trusted me with her body and also allowed me hold this baby outside her body. This little life has made it from spirit world into this physical world through her momma’s strength and fierce determination to get that VBAC she desired. And this little baby is just perfect in every way- vbac unmedicated birth success; also partly healing my soul- one who has not yet been able to hold a child of my own after many years of struggle- I am honored. Thank you. See more

Oooo! This is such a fun and wonderful thing to share with women Exciting news for those with babies born January-April: I've re-formatted my new "Sampler Series" to a live-Zoom class! Which means you can now build community with other growing families, learn infant massage techniques, therapeutic music, and babywearing dance all from the comfort and safety of your home. (And now that we're on Zoom, that means you can also invite your friends from around the country/world t...o join us) The next series begins Monday May 11th @ 11:00am PST. Register for a future series while still pregnant and get a discount! Check out/share the video or visit the website to learn more and register. I would LOVE to have you and your family. Thanks for your support of teachers during this wild time! http://www.jillianvanness.com/sampler-series-babys-4th-trim https://vimeo.com/407838874

Hello ladies! I finally had the time to make a new hypopressive video (thanks Covid). This one is great if you aren't feeling like doing much, (maybe a little Netflix fatigue and you know you should be doing something but you don't feel up for it??). It's perfect if you want to stay on the floor practicing a few laying down hypo variations without any other transitions. This is also great if you are new to your practice, or if you have a DRA. https://youtu.be/JgZ9kZ1pypw

Look at this INCREDIBLE momma! This hard working woman has a very large DRA after carrying twins full term. These before and after pics were taken 4 weeks apart. She has had chronic mid back pain since the twin birth nearly 2 years ago. Now- after a month of incorporating hypopressives 3-4x/week, cardio 2x/week, strength training 2x/week she has NO mid back pain, her clothes are fitting better, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress she is making towards healing her DRA. Great job busy momma!!! Woman: never give up on your body, never doubt what your body can do for you, it is never too late. You are resilient and stronger than you believe, every one of you

Wow! It’s so fun and humbling to try new things. Today I joined a postpartum client with her sport- bouldering. This is her favorite activity and I was tasked with trying to understand the movement and body demands so I could help her enjoy the sport she loves without worsening prolapse symptoms in these early postpartum months. I am humbled, my forearms are dead, and I had my first fall from the top of the wall- and it’s all a fun learning opportunity. I love learning and helping support my clients below is my learning on the easy green course

A new study finds brain aging emerges in the late 40's and that dietary ketosis (either after one week of dietary change or 30 minutes after drinking exogenous ketones) increased overall brain activity and stabilized functional networks.

I know it seems like a lot of Lupron rants lately, but here’s another article of consideration... https://www.statnews.com//lupron-puberty-children-health-/

Lupron is often offered to women to mask the pain of endometriosis- however it has many risks and does NOT cure or treat endo- it only masks some of the pain for some women- but know the risks and side effects. If your OB recommends Lupron or any other hormonal treatment for endo- joinNancy’s Nook group of Facebook and arm yourself with the most current evidenced based treatment information (excision is the only intervention that actually works).
