This Month We Are All About Croissants Unlike you might expect from the name, croissants are not originally French. They were introduced to France by Marie Antoinette at least that’s the story. Croissants are a buttery, crescent-shaped rolls that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The key to a perfect croissant is laminating the dough which creates multiple thin layers of butter and dough resulting in a mouth-watering flaky crust and airy body that we crave e...very morning. Our bakeries will celebrate #nationalcroissantday on Saturday January 30th, and in preparation to that we are cranking out your favorites croissant varieties, different spreads to pair them with, and a very special giveway for one lucky of you to extra indulge. Dear friends and family, we want to thank everyone who supported us throughout this year, we would not be where we are today without your gracious support. Since we are in the cooking spirit we wanted to share with you one of our favorite old fashion recipes using our famous croissant toast: Old Fashioned Bread Pudding. Our Galette des Rois is Back! We are so excited to offer you this winter classic French traditional cake starting from tomorrow in all our stores. The Galette des Rois or Kings Cake is a traditional cake from France that is made with layers of puff pastry and delicious frangipane (almond cream) inside. Dating back to the Middle Ages, this traditional cake contains a lucky charm (une fève). Whoever finds it in their slice of cake becomes King or Queen for the day.... Pre-orders must be made 72 hours in advance and the cake can be picked up at any of our bakeries. Galettes will be available for a limited time only!
