The cake I made for Palette of Desserts at Art San Diego, San Diego’s only contemporary fine art show, is covered in textured fondant with hand made wafer paper flowers and painted gumpaste bees. It was placed inside a white metal frame to mimic the frame of the original piece of fine art I took inspiration from, Walter Redondo’s Growing Together.
