Michael Zakian was widely recognized as a pillar in our art community, but in an understated role, he was also an incredible mentor. He was willing to take a chance and work earnestly with budding minds, and his guidance lives on and is felt in our exhibitions. You are deeply missed.
Salomón Huerta exhibit has come down, but here is a walkthrough in case you missed it!

The Guardian mentioned our exhibit of this great project, which opens May 24

Time Traveler is a site-specific installation by artist Rotem Reshef of interwoven scrolls that highlight humanity’s interaction with, and interpretation of, the four seasons. Human lives are inextricably connected to the seasons, in ritual, culture, and tradition. We often use seasonal transitions to mark and understand the passage of time, whether on an agricultural or religious calendar. Reshef offers a varied perspective on this conception of time with a reminder of its cyclical nature as opposed to a linear narrative. In Time Traveler, enormous scrolls are imprinted with features of each season (leaves for fall, ribbons for spring, raffia, straw-like, for summer and some bubble wrap and cellophane for winter). This large-scale installation is best experienced in person. Curated by Sagi Refael.
Last chance to see Convergencia/Convergence, on view until Thursday, February 1st.
