Sea Anemones and Clownfish have a symbiotic relationship. Anemones are predators that attach themselves to rocks or coral. There, they sit and wait until a fish swims close enough to attack with its tentacles. Clownfish are one of the only species that can survive the deadly sting of the Sea Anemone make this their home. They often feed the anemone as a thanks for the protection. Clownfish come in a variety of colors and patterns. These are taken Oceanside off the coral reef of Enebuj, Marshall Islands in Kwajalein Atoll.

We are a little behind in posting updates. Unfortunately my iPad won't work underwater and we have not had much surface interval lately. Congratulations are in order for Rebecca Gray and Sarah Gray for completing their Open Water training this morning. If you want to dive with turtles bring these girls along with you. Every dive we did with them had turtles every where. A special thanks goes out to Ken Cleland and Jimmy Severson for filling in when Sharon cut her foot. Thanks to the rest of the Gray family for joining us on their final Dive. Stay Salty!

We have had a few poeple ask us about conducting a Bubble Makers program. Bubble Makers is a pool diving session for our young aspiring divers. Minimum age for ...participation in this is 8 years old. If you have children who are at least 8 and are interested in Scuba Diving this could be a great opportunity for you to get them under the water. All sessions are conducting in the pool and we remain in water that they can stand in. If you are interested contact us about setting up a date. See more

WW2 Wreck Diving in the Marshall Islands. Most Japanese ships are titled "Maru", pronounced mah-roo. A Maru used in the name of Japanese merchant vessels distinguishes them from warships and other craft. Although they are cargo ships, they were sunk along with most Japanese fleet in the lagoon and oceanside of the Marshall Islands.

Wreck Diving is popular amongst scuba divers so that they can view history underwater. The Marshall Islands was an intergral win for the United State in WW2. Admiral Mineichi Koga of the Japanese Combined Fleet knew the Americans were eyeing the islands currently occupied by the Japanese, but he could not figure out where they would strike. Admiral Chester A. Nimitz invaded and nearly all Japanese fleets, islands and 8,000 men were incapcitated. The IJN Akibasan Maru Japanese Cargo Ship sunk on 31 JAN 1944 by the USS Burns and was one such casualty.

Coral Reef tunnels or "swim throughs" can be entertaining. Only with the proper training and within your diving limits. Swim throughs such as this off Guegeegue, Marshall Islands in the Kwajalein Atoll are favorites of local divers. You begin at 25-30 feet in depth and exit at 10-15 feet.
