Thank you to everyone who helped support our team and a special thank you to our awesome team members at BAR Architects, Cahill Contractors and Rider Levett Bucknall Limited! Together we raised $6,372.67 to support arts & education and came in 3rd place during the 38th annual Sandcastle Classic!

We have a new #Structural Engineer, meet Nathalie Siencnik! Nathalie grew up in Vienna, Austrian and London, UK. As someone who enjoys finding creative solutions to problems, she naturally gravitated towards a career in engineering. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Structural #Engineering from TU Wien. When she’s not engineering, you can find her baking, bouldering, doing yoga or hiking. Here she is at Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal. ... Welcome to the team Nathalie! #Engineering #GoTeam #WomenWhoEngineer #AEC

Meet our newest #Structural #Engineer Colin Ridgley! We are thrilled to have Colin back after a successful summer internship in 2019, where he proved himself to be a thorough engineer and an excellent team player. A Bay Area native, Colin grew up in Pittsburg before moving to the central coast to get his B.S. in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), and then back up north to get his M.S. in Structural Engineering from UC Davis. He ...initially discovered structural #engineering through the ACE Mentor Program at his high school. Prior to the program, Colin was considering becoming an architect since he was interested in buildings and didn’t know about other careers in the industry. When asked what he liked the most about engineering, he responded, "I like structural engineering because I am able to contribute to making safe, resilient communities". When he's not designing resilient structures, you can find him cooking, playing basketball and spending socially distanced time with friends and family. Here he is on the roof of a construction site in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2018. Welcome back Colin! #StructuralEngineering #GoTeam #OurTeamRocks
