Rescue Critters 06.11.2020

Practicing cat spaying on our feline spay models before spaying live cats is vital to saving lives. Our Feline Spay Model features a very realistic female reproductive organ, including the region of cervix, uterine body, uterine horns, ovaries, ovarian arteries and veins, suspensory ligaments and membrane for realism. Also embedded in the model are the bladder and ureters, and colon. The model also helps trainees practice their suturing skills on the abdominal wall musculature and skin layers upon completion of the spay procedure. #savelives #spayandneuter #catspaying #catlovers #interniche #rescuecritters @ United Kingdom

This is Mouse. Mouse the pittie. He was abandoned years ago in a car park. He is the most affectionate and loving pitbull who only wants belly rubs and to sit on our laps. #pittielove #adoptdontshop #love #rescuecritters #spayandneuter

Are you an advocate of humane practices? Our frog dissection models offer students a humane approach to dissection, while giving them a realistic and tactile experience of the dissection process. These frog bodies are reusable and you simply replace the organ inserts. Each organ insert features the skin layer, muscle layer, the heart, lungs, liver, gall bladder, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, cloaca, pancreas, spleen, bladder, ureters, kidneys, reproductive o...rgans, fat tissues, blood vessels and detailed representations of the skeleton. Our model also has the following key landmarks that are vital to studying frogs: The brain Key muscles in the leg All the necessary landmarks in the mouth including the maxillary teeth, vomerine teeth, internal nares, eustachian tubes, opening of eustachian tubes, opening of vocal sacs, opening of esophagus, glottis, and tongue. Tag your friends, share the news and save the frogs! #dissectiondoesntcutit #humane #aavs #frogs #savethefrogs #ethicalpractices #humanealternatives #humaneeducation #rescuecritters @ New York See more

What would YOU do if your curious pup scored big rummaging through the garbage but then got sick? How would YOU help Fluffy if she was choking on a fur ball or got stung by a bee? Veterinarians are the experts, but pet lovers can help their dog or cat when an injury or illness occurs, and reacting quickly can make a big difference in the pet's recovery. According to the American Animal Hospital Association, one out of four additional pets could be saved if one pet first a...id technique was applied prior to getting veterinary care, and First Responders don't always have to be adultskids too can play a vital role in saving their furry best friend when disaster strikes! "Although children don't always listen to their parents, parents do listen to their kids," says Animal Care Instructor Denise Fleck on why she collaborated with Rescue Critters on their new book Pet First Aid for Kids. "By instilling in the younger generation a passion for animals, it is my hope they will inspire their parents to learn along with them." The book outlines basic steps, along with detailed photographs, and materials needed BEFORE you get your pet to the Veterinarian -- how to handle choking, what to do for a bee sting, how to administer rescue breathing and CPR. "With an emphasis on safety first, it is a quick reference to teach kids, age 8 and older, what to do should their dog or cat need help," explains co-Author Sandrina Lee. "Hopefully it will bring families together learning to care for their four-legged members." #petfirstaid #petlovers #helpingpets #pets #petbook #rescuecritters #savinglives
