Palo Alto Airport Association 22.10.2020

A message and an invitation from the Santa Clara Valley 99s Just a reminder to our local Airport Associations: The Santa Clara Valley 99s once again would like to invite you and members of your organization to our annual Pasta Night Dinner. This evening is an opportunity to get together and have dinner with friends in the local aviation community and meet the members of the SJSU Precision Flight Team. There will be a raffle and a silent auction, with aviation items such as h...eadsets, fuel, oil, lessons, and demo flights, as well as many non-aviation items. Funds raised from the raffle and silent auction go to support the Flight Team and other aviation-related educational activities. Please pass this invitation on to your members and friends by posting the attached flyer or including it or the information below in your organization's newsletter. If you have an item you would like to donate for our raffle or silent auction, please contact Laura Del Favero at [email protected]. Please consider JOINING the Palo Alto Airport Association by making a small TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation. By joining the Association you (and/or your business) will enable us to carry on our work of promoting the well being of the airport for all it's users, and keeping the local communities enlightened and informed of the benefits the Airport brings to the area. Please note that the Association is run purely by volunteers who claim no stipends or expenses of any kind for the work... they do. The majority of the donations go to defray the annual airport day held in September each year. http://www.paloaltoairport.aero/join.html

The Palo Alto Airport Association was fortunate enough to interrupt Officer Dueker’s busy schedule and interview him about his duties as Director of the Office Of Emergency Management for the City of Palo Alto, his departments support of Palo Alto Airport Day, and the important role that Palo Alto Airport plays in our community.

PAAA ANNUAL MEETING! It’s just a very short time until Tuesday, November 13 when the PAAA will host our annual meeting. Dinner will be served at the Bay Café at the golf course starting at 6:00 PM. This was noted a week ago in the PAAA Newsletter, but if this slipped passed your attention, there is still time to plan for it. Briefly, we will have election of the board, discussion of airport day and an update on the City’s plans. The main event will be presentation by Jeffery Bass of the Hiller Aviation Museum: Imagination Set Free. The event is free to members. We welcome new members as well, who can join at the event upon paying annual dues of $20. RSVP to [email protected]. Ralph Britton, President PAAA
