As we navigate this big moment together, we are cultivating our new world. Our interior worlds and the world we birth together over time. If we can allow the unique pressures of this moment to work on us, some of the false armor we wear can begin to dissolve. We can slip free of old habits. Deed and thought. We can play with a new way of being. A new way of seeing. This is, of course, always the work of good therapy. Expansion and self knowledge. Transformation. I’m available... to make that journey with you now. #healingtools #anxietysupport #anxietyrelief #anxietytherapy #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealthawareness #psychotherapy #onlinetherapy #onlinetherapist #newportbeach #newportbeachtherapist #irvine #irvinetherapist #helpme #helpwithanxiety #helpwithdepression #helpwithisolation #isolation #transformationjourney #resiliency #selfdevelopment #somaticexperiencing #somatictherapy See more

While there may be perfect chaos, there’s no Perfect Pandemic. We’re going to find our way through the thing, through the virus, the pandemic, the stress, exhaustion, and irritability. We’re going to find our way through the boredom, overwhelm, anger, fear, and uncertainty. That is going to look different for each one of us. Different for each of us on different days. Some days will feel okay. Some will feel like shit. Kinda like Life, but maybe more intense. Or not. Maybe nu...mb, sometimes. Sometimes content. Sometimes purposeful. Sometimes all tears. Sometimes belly laughs. Maybe all of it at the same time. You know what it’s not going to look like? Perfection. Whatever that is. I know your inbox may be telling you something else. But the Pandemic is not about perfection, productivity, positivity, or profundity. Yeah, sure, I love a lot of those things too and we’ll have our moments with all of it. But there’s no Gold Star for managing the Pandemic perfectly. Here’s the thing. We get through it. Alive. Gold Freakin Star! We get through it with relatively sound mental health? Winning! We lean into and foster our loving, supportive connectionssocial distancing, because we love our people and the people we’ve yet to meet, and their peopleand we’ve won the Pandemic Olympic Gold Medal! Just like that. Survive, hold onto stability as much as possible, lean in, reach out, ask for support. Give yourself some freakin Grace, if you can manage it. Pass a little of that grace around. You win. We win. We’ll put the thing back together later. And yes, if you can take a breath, find your center, give it a squeeze, and breathe into it some more, it will definitely help. A lot. It will. And so will reaching out. You don’t have to do this alone. You never did. #covid #covidkindness #pandemic2020 #grace #perfectlyimperfect #mindfulness #mindfullness #anxiety #anxietyrelief #anxietyproblems #anxietysupport #connectedness #irritability #isolation #shelterinplace #quarantinelife #quarantineandchill #onlinetherapy #onlinetherapist #onlinesomatics #onlinesomaticexperiencing #onlineanxietysupport #onlineanxietyhelp #onlinesomatictherapy #onlinetherapyworks See more

It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey. ... The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings. Wendell Berry This is the moment. Do you feel it? I’m not saying it’s true for everyone. Or that it’s true for you. Or that it should be. I am saying I feel it within myself. This is the moment. This moment is the moment that required everything else that came before. For me. This is the moment when those experiences, those learnings, those many failures, and struggles, those falling down and getting up momentsthis is the moment when they bear fruit. This is the moment. This is the moment when we’re called to be absolutely present to it all. The chaos of it. The ever loving freaking tsunami of it. The love. The pain. The fear. The requirement to lean into each other. To dig deep within. To love on each other with all the distance and solidarity we can muster. This is the moment that turns yesterday’s concerns and priorities on their heads. This is the moment. This is the moment. This is the moment. This is the moment that births our next world. That births ourselves. That levels us one minute and elevates us the next. This is the moment. And we are in it together. #connection #connectedness #covid_19 #rona #coronavírus #anxiety #anxietyrelief #mindfulness #onlinetherapy #onlinetherapist #californiatherapist #somaticexperiencing #somatictherapy #somatichealing #onlinesomaticexperiencing #presentmoment #presentmomentawareness #wendellberry

More than any other holiday, Valentine’s Day sets us up. In our singleness, in our loneliness, in our struggling relationships, in our unmet expectations, in our unfulfilled longings, we can become lost in the pink promises of Hallmark Love. We can get tangled in the sticky sweet cotton candy of it all. And forget. We can forget to love and tend to our own deep hearts. We can forget to cradle ourselves. Care for ourselves. Champion our hearts. If you have not sent that questi...ng, loving, heart of yours a Valentine full of caring and compassion, there’s still time. Every day. There’s still time to make room for the good. Make space for expansion. Make room for yourself in your life. #valentines #selflove #selfcare #transformation #selfdiscovery #selfdiscoveryjourney #depth #newportbeach #newportbeachtherapist #somaticexperiencing #internalcritic #heart #heartbreak #healing See more

Cultivating self-compassion is one of the primary focuses of most good therapy. It’s definitely a focus in my work. Especially for the highly anxious. Especially for folks entering their Third Act. Especially for parents of adult children. Especially for humans. Cultivating self-compassion is one of the missions of my therapeutic practice. Let’s talk. Thirst. We’re thirsting for more. Thirsting for more love. More peace. A greater sense of accomplishment. Parched. Longing for meaning and purpose. Sometimes overwhelmed with the enormity of what Life and the World seem to need and to need from us. Longing for happiness. Fulfillment. Connection. Dried out. Craving refreshment. Rejuvenation. Enlivening. Embodiment. Heart. Vitality. Wanting more of life. More of ourselves. More. Let’s talk about it. Beauty. It’s the primary soother in my day. Sometimes we can all agree on what is beautiful. Some things are just gorgeous. Another day, it shows up as a rusty chain link fence or a bent nail on the sidewalk. The art is in allowing the eye to notice all the ways beauty presents, drink them in, and come to terms with the fact that ugly can be the most beautiful of all. Noticing Beauty in all her permutations allows me to always be surrounded by the beautiful. The nurturing. The soothing. The beauty of it all. The good. We can notice together. Make space for the good. Make space for the good in your life, for the good to come in. Make space for the good. Make space for the good in your mind. Clear the mind. Clear the anxious, negative, self-demeaning thoughts. The black and white thinking. The overwhelm. Make space for the good. Make space in your heart. Make space for love. Make room for love to enter your life again. Make space for the good. Make space for healing. Make space for calm. Make space for your creativ...ity. Create a nest for it to settle in. Nurture it. Let it fly. Make space. You need that space. You need the room to expand most fully into who you are. Make space for the good. Make space for yourself. Make space to live your life more fully. More authentically. With less pain. Less sadness. Less anger. Less baggage. Make space for Life. Make space for the good that is Life. This IS the work we do every day in my office. Make the commitment. Make the time. Make space for the good. #therapy #anxiety #anxietyrelief #anxietyproblems #personaldevelopment #personalgrowthjourney #personalgrowth #selfdevelopment #consciousness #cinsciouscreator #culturalcreatives #artists #newportbeach #newportbeachtherapist #irvinetherapist #transforminghearts #somaticexperiencing #somatictherapy #depressionhelp #relationshipgoals #heartbreakclub #psychotherapy #healingfromdivorce #acoa See more
