Orange Coast College Horticultural Department uses Koolfog’s greenhouse fog system to optimize propagation. During propagation, most cuttings lose moisture through their leaves. The light layer of fog keeps cuttings turgid, helping the plant tissue retain water. Department lab coordinator and adjunct faculty member at Orange Coast College, Joe Stead, has been practicing propagation for 25 years. His propagation class provides instruction on propagating all sorts of trees, shrubs, and ground covers. Koolfog worked with Republic Services to introduce our dust control misting systems into their Huntington Beach Transfer Station (TS) and Materials Recovery (Recycling) Facility (MRF) buildings to reduce the potential for dust particulate matter emissions attributed to their operations. These buildings work under negative pressure circulating outside air inward to flow into the building entrances and exhausting through stacks that work along with main tipping floor dust control misting systems. Albuquerque Civic Plaza is a unique public space housed on the lid of a two-level parking structure. As part of a redevelopment project, Koolfog worked with Crystal Fountains to create an interactive fountain that utilizes modern modules and water conservation equipment. The fountain is set within a circular realm with display features, interactive jets, and LED lighting arranged to mirror shade elements. A fog effect is integrated into plexiglass lighted cubes placed within the ground deck foundation. These acrylic boxes are lit at night and waves of water and fog are emitted from the tops.

Temperature and humidity control is optimized in germination and propagation via high-pressure fog systems.
