As a teen competitor I trained in the same gym as Bertil. His nickmame was Brutil Fox based on the Brutil workouts he performed. He was buy far the most muscolar and strongest bodybuilder in the gym and we were training along side Lee Haney, Rich Gaspari, Al Beckles, Samir Bannout, etc. And inspite what happened to him later when I knew him he was a genuenly nice guy, at least to me.

The last time I'll ever walk onto a platform knowing how injured I am! My prep was awesome being the strongest I've been all year until 3 weeks before the meet... when I injured my back very badly and couldn't even walk to the corner block or squat at all, plus I pulled my hamstring and bruised my ankle! Ugh. Lmao. I couldn't get my hips to even open and the meet promoter told me I looked insanely tight just trying to go down! I couldn't get depth if my life depended on it, and I had lost my power! 4 meets in 1 year, 2 major arm surgeries, 1 serious back injury, Shingles, a shit ton of COVID stress, and a ton more crap in 2020, but HEY I showed up and gave it my all and looks like I'll end the year being #2 ranked in the country my rookie season, I'll take it!
