Tragedy vs Injustice: So this is an example of a tragedy versus injustice. The loss of Cannon Hinnant is a tragedy. This is a hideous event in time that has roc...ked this family to its core and should have never happened. However, within 24 hours the murderer was arrested and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The people who need justice are people that still have their murderers walking free and living their best lives while their cases slowly become cold. We don’t need to demand justice for him because justice is already being swiftly served. We DON’T need to SAY HIS NAME because he has not been forgotten due to mismanagement of his case. His killer isn’t walking around free, and no one needed to demand his arrest and he won’t just receive a slap on the wrist. This sweet little boy not only received justice, his family is being given a chance to grieve, which is more than I can say for other families who’s emotions are being pulled in two different directions, by having to fight for the death of their love ones, trying to find a time to grieve, and fight with those who are protecting the ones that killed them. This is not an injustice. This was a tragedy. Please learn the difference. Mourn for this child; mourn for his family who has lost him; but stop trying to get a political win to prove a point that is not even remotely the same. You are indeed proving that you are a follower who doesn’t do research and instead of using the mind as God intended you to by thinking cognitively and critically and with some average level of sense. Don’t be gross.
