Here's Mr. B's science class literally at work. Alden tries to lift a cast iron engine block. He then uses the mechanical advantage provided by a block and tackle pulley system.
OCC's Stage offers the community unforgettable performances. Check this one out! The 7th annual World Dance Celebration concert under the direction of Angelika Nemeth, showcases colorful movements and music from around the globe. The talented and renowned multicultural cast of over 40 performers includes the Orange Coast College dance faculty, members of the college's World Dance Ensemble, guest artists and a storyteller who will take us on a memorable cultural journey. This... year dance styles from the Caribbean, Egypt, Samoa, Spain, and Tahiti will be performed as well as live African and Samoan drumming! Friday, May 22, 2015 at 8 p.m. Orange Coast College Robert B. Moore Theatre 2701 Fairview Rd., Costa Mesa CA 92626 Tickets: $10 in advance, $15 at the door OCC Bursar's Office (714) 432-5880 www.occtickets.com
Annica joins us from Suzhou, China. She is our sixth visitor from Asia. We look forward to giving her a special American school experience. Let's welcome Annica!
Say Hello to Kline School's Chinese Family. (l to r) David (who will be returning next month to become a full-time Kline School student), Shelly (David's mother), Ms. Sun (Kline School's Mandarin Teacher), Sophia (Marina's mother), and Marina (Former Kline School student). Thank you Veno for the photo!
http://www.printmuseum.org/ Last Friday, we headed north to the International Printing Museum. What a great place to go to step back in time. Our gallery tour guide, Walt Ratcliff, was a walking encyclopedia! He invited Alden to become a "Devil's Apprentice." (pictured here) We saw working machinery from as early as the Gutenberg Press up through the huge offset printer used at the L.A. Times. Go see for yourself. It's worth the drive to Carson.
Aaron hosts the first installment of "Black Jack or Bust!" As you will see, the members of the Model T Ford Club of America are in a class of their own! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZSRG5YUDVs&feature=youtu.be
Three years ago yesterday, Dec. 6 2012. we spoke with Commander Kevin Ford aboard the International Space Station as he flew overhead. Below is a link to our Q&A with Commander Ford: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/KlineSpaceChat

Kline School students have been invited to write a feature story for an upcoming issue of "Vintage Ford" magazine. The CEO/Editor, Jay Klehfoth has been communicating with Mr. Butler, and he wants us to share our unique approach to learning with his national and international audience.

Traveling Scientist, Ms. Foster from the Orange County Department of Education's "Inside the Outdoors" program, presented an interactive workshop to heighten students' awareness on waste management. Ms. Foster reinforced the school's mantra REDUCE-REUSE-REPURPOSE-RECYCLE with eye-opening facts and suggestions on how to go about making life-style changes.

Happy New Year! Mr. B uploaded the 2014 Holiday Edition of The Echo to our YouTube channel. The Echo is a combination news magazine, drama, comedy, and satire. It shows what middle and grade school students are capable of producing when given the tools and a commitment to excellence. In addition to catchy commercials, this year's special features include a remake of Rod Serling's "The Night of the Meek" and introduces "Outback with Aaron." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjwbxqXbeYk
