Hot Rod Garage Forever 27.01.2022

Good Morning. Well, the big Jolly guy is almost here.I hope you all were good this year!! Still working on the 51 Plymouth, Having fuel delivery probs. The original fuel pump was totaled but still in the car when I got it. It had an electric pump of 12 volts and worked fine except for it pushed too much fuel through the carb and was leaking. so I had purchased a 6-volt pump which was defective and had to send it back. now I am back to the 12-volt pump and made the fuel intake lines smaller hoping that it won't push as much fuel through. next will be a fuel regulator to achieve the correct fuel pressure. I will let you know the outcome of that adventure. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all who read me.

Well traded my 66 c10 for a 51 Plymouth Coupe. I am in the process of lots of rewiring. This year's model has cloth-covered wires and many of them are badly frayed. Hence must replace them. The upholstery was redone but some of the wiring was never re connected. Also this year vech has no fuses! The eng is a flattie and has 3 on the tree. Maybe some day that will change. Happy Thanksgiving toall that read me,

Good morning all you Hot Rodders, short update. haven't written much. My wife had knee surgery. I installed an alum radiator in my truck. It also needs a shroud but hard to find for my 66 c10. Does anyone know what one will fit my ride? Also replaced the water pump to a long style.

Gooooood Morning to you.... The f 250 is leaving today.

Hot Rod Garage Forever 10.10.2021

The f 250 is done! found out from Ford performance that the cam had too much in and out play. There was a was washer on the front of the cam that created misalignment with the dist causing the cam gear to go away. It was a factorypart Now it's correct and running well. The cam I got is a police interceptor cam. I went to Schneider and they had a regrind in stock. Nice people. I have used their cams before. Thanks for reading me.

Good Morning. May you all have a blessed day!!! I learned for me at least that if you buy a 2/4 lowering kit for your C10 the 2 should be a 3 to get it a little lowering the front. best of luck ....

Hot Rod Garage Forever 06.05.2021

Good Morning, I recd my 2/4 drop kit for my 66 c10 installed and discovered that the 2" drop springs are the wrong height for my truck. so I returned them and they are sending out the 3" drop springs so I can put them in. If those of you are considering dropping your c10's get the 4/3 drop kit your truck will look a lot better and ride smoother. I am also considering changing my buckets out for a bench seat.

Hot Rod Garage Forever 22.04.2021

Good morning. Well, the F250 is finished and has gone to the owner. It was a challenging major repair. I am glad it is done. Now I can get on to My truck which will receive a 350 chevy engine. It will be a good used motor with a small cam and Hei Ign and a Wieand intake. It will also be lowered with springs and have new shocks and tires. I am looking forward to that. More to come in the future. Again thanks for reading my posts.

Good Morning. Are you ready to rock the day? well finally got the ford to sputter after having to replace the Starter. It had a huge drain on it. After it sputtered and coughed and would not pump fuel into the engine I pulled the carb, This eng sat for a long time not running and the time gas had imploded the accelerator pump. It will be fixed today.

Well, the engine for the F250 is together and hopefully, it will go in tomorrow. A new clutch was installed on the newly surfaced flywheel. More to come.

Hot Rod Garage Forever 03.01.2021

Here is a pic of the engine I have been working on. Fords are very heavy...

Hot Rod Garage Forever 30.12.2020

Good morning to all who read me. well got back on the f 250. What a beast! found another engine, have torn it apart, and will be swapping out the heads. That was the only good part on the old motor. Ford motors are very heavy. having to move most of the big parts with my eng hoist. By the way, the hoist gave up in the process of pulling out the eng so I had to repair that in the middle of the pull. well, I will Geter done !!! The Clutch is also badly burned so that also wi...ll be replaced and the flywheel will be turned. More to come later Thanks again for reading about what I d God bless and stay safe.

Hot Rod Garage Forever 24.12.2020
