Because the COVID-19 pandemic has caused school closures, the Fontana Kiwanis Club was finding it impossible to do our usual vetting of high school seniors for ...scholarship awards. But THANKS to the help of willing F.U.S.D, employees still on the job, at least technologically, we WERE able to award our annual Kiwanis scholarships! CONGRATULATIONS go to the following very deserving 2020 graduate scholarship awardees: Jurupa Hills High School: Valeria Gutierez & Rodrigo Alcaraz. H.J. Kaiser High School: Ashley Lozana & Fabiola Ramirez A.B. Miller High School: Katherine Rodriguez & Alizbet Pineda Fontana High School: Karen Martinez-Sanders & Michael Reynoso Summit High School: Victor Rodriquez & Mao Wang Birch Continuation High School: Archangel Jesus Delgado And the special Koehler Memorial Scholarship was awarded this year to Jennifer Gonzalez of Kaiser High School. Now accepting scholarship applications! Every year the Fontana Kiwanis club gives out scholarships to all Fontana High schools. Graduating students are asked to fill out the application now. Applications must be received by March 31, 2020. Please visit www.fontanakiwanis.org for applications.
