Remember last week’s post about color correction. Here is the after, this is after two color correcting services. It’s close to where we want it, but not quite there yet. We are going to wait a few weeks and go in at her roots and the darker band that is left over from box dye. Sent her home with @olaplex number 3 to use twice a week until proteins are restored! Overall very happy with this transformation!

Let’s talk for a minute about color corrections. Here are the 3 most important tips I can give you before you consider a color correction: 1. Be transparent and truthful. You’re not in trouble and I won’t be mad at you. It is the MOST important thing to be completely honest about your hairs’ journey. Not just the most recent I used a box but go YEARS back. Because, if your hair is long, those ends are over a year old and whatever you did back then (bleach, perm, color) IS S...TILL THERE. And this is a chemistry experiment (yes, experiment). 2. Be REALISTIC and FLEXIBLE. You want platinum hair? Cool! We can get it there!........EVENTUALLY. It’s going to take: commitment and time. 3. Come prepared financially and mentally. Expect to leave your first appt (the most important one where the most is done) having booked your next one for the following week or two. You will walk out of my salon looking beautiful, but your hair may not be at the end goal. It’s a PROCESS. Say it with me, PROCESS. It doesn’t always happen in one visit! Color corrections with me are $120/hr and there are no hidden fees. This includes olaplex treatment, all colors needed, and cut and style. I will cancel all other appts for the day and you should too. You belong to me for one day (and at the end of it you’ll swear your lifelong hair loyalty to me). Whew! Still reading? Good! This lovely lady came to me with Covid hair. She’s not alone, I’ve gained dozens of new clients these past few months due to Covid. She was truthful and transparent. That bottom half of her hair had been platinum blond for YEARS and then she had it dyed a beautiful teal green. After that another stylist tried to remove the green and turned her hair a gummy orange. Covid hit and salons closed and her hair was ORANGE so she took to her natural color from a box. So what we have here is previously lightened and stressed mid shaft to ends, about an inch of virgin regrowth at the scalp, and about 4 inches of box dye over virgin hair. Her end goal is to be platinum again and we will get there. She left with a beautiful balayage (forgot to take a pic ), and I will see her in a week! Stay tuned!
