3 reasons to change your hair tie now! If you have hair longer, you probably use a hair tie daily, what you don’t know is that it could be the cause of these 3... problems. 1) Hair breakage: ever notice a little nest of hair wrapped around your hair tie? Yup that hair tie is ripping it out. Using something like a hair coil puts much less stress on your hair and results in less damage. 2) Receding hair line: you may have noticed less hair around your hairline, especially in the front. Using a tight traditional hair tie puts a lot of tension on your hair and it will start to recede in the front. 3) Headaches: Do you suffer from frequent headaches ? Wearing your hair too tight often is the culprit. Try using a loose scrunchie or wearing your hair in a low bun. It’s time to level up your hair tie game @kinshoppesalon

We were broken into Sunday morning. Shattered our door, stole some retail products. Thankfully they didn’t do too much damage. We have seen other beauty businesses being vandalized and broken into, in our city. It’s so heartbreaking to see how much small businesses have been through already, and people are causing more financial hits to our small businesses. ... We wanted to share this news to bring awareness that this is happening to small businesses and to be on the look out for other beauty businesses out there, especially during this time of our third round of shutdowns. Yesterday we had a team zoom meeting where we reminisced about the good times we have had over the years. It was so good to connect and see each other, have some laughs and were reminded that no matter how tough things can be, we are stronger together. Despite our continued efforts to keep things safe in our salon environment we are faced with our third shut down of the year. This news is not what we wanted to hear especially during the holiday season. This is a regional stay at home order, that starts tonight at midnight. ... From what we understand, ICU bed availability in the Southern California region has to be above 15% for them to be allow the reopening of non essential businesses. We have been told this shutdown will last at least 3 weeks and they will re-asses the ICU bed percentage every 3 weeks. We are all trying to stay positive as much as possible. This is definitely a hard one, but this too shall pass. Having your love and support definitely helps during this time and we appreciate you so much.
