The Downey Police Officers’ Association understands Covid 19 dramatically affected everyone’s summer plans. The summer heat is increasing and the DPOA would li...ke to try and help cool down your summer. We are fortunate to partner with Walmart, who provided water toys, to donate to the Downey youth. These toys can be used at your home or taken to the beach. The DPOA will be outside the station on Civic Center Drive (10911 Brookshire Ave) on Saturday between 0900-1100, to hand out free toys (while supplies last). All that’s required is for you to drive up and a police officer will provide you with toys. We ask you keep your mask on while driving up to receive your toys.
