Theodor Collins Schelling died peacefully at his home in Reseda, California on April 27th at the age of 71. He is survived by his sister and sister-in-law, Catherine Schelling and Rev. Charlotte Parker, his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Denise Schelling. Ted was so loved by a host of wonderful friends who adopted him as family and miss him greatly. Ted was born on March 22nd, 1948 in Ross, California to Charles Schelling and Mary Schelling Nelson. His family moved to ...Southern California in 1952 where Ted graduated Reseda High School in 1965 and attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills. He pursued a life long career in the Motion Picture Industry as a production technician. Before retiring, Ted worked for many years as a 24 Frame Video Operator at Playback Technologies, and Khaos Digital in Los Angeles. Celebrations of Life will be held in Reseda and in Three Rivers, California where he maintained a second home. Dates and times for these celebrations will be posted on Ted’s Facebook page: Ted Schelling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ted’s name to the Motion Picture Television Fund dedicated to serving the needs of members of the entertainment community in myriad ways.
