I had the opportunity to honor a very special angel Makenna. Her family learned about her ultra rare disease 9 days after her passing, it’s called SMARD (spinal muscular atrophy with respiratory distress). The hospital gave them this beautiful glass butterfly to represent Makenna and her mom carries it with her everywhere she goes so she’s always with herI am in awe of this families strength to persevere through such difficult times.
