Introducing our all new model 9306 wide body. This particular putter headed to its new home features an interchangeable 71 mid plumber neck and also a single bend nub neck, both necks are perfectly face balanced. If you are new here or need a refresher, two piece allows for the player to change out the neck (or a different lofted head) for a different look using a torque wrench. Sharing design similarities with our most popular head style, the 9306, yet provides a new perspe...ctive to performance wide body blades. When designing this model in CAD from the ground up, it was important that we first control the center of gravity of this putter so that the sweet spot sits dead center. The requested head weight is 360 grams and since this putter is a wide body, we had to shed some weight without changing the integrity of the design. By adding a hollowed 303 stainless insert filled with epoxy, I was able to achieve the requested weight and add a little more MOI. The cavity insert features a fine CNC hammered mill and torched finish to contrast the satin silver body. Complimented with our signature pyramid grooves, satin silver finish, and tungsten performance weights. Questions? Reach out to us at [email protected] See more

Another center shaft model being added to our lineup! Introducing the all new model 9310 center shaft. Sharing design similarities with our current model 9310, yet provides a new perspective to compact performance mallets. It’s body machined from 303 German stainless steel and integrated with dual tungsten performance weights for optimal balance and feel. Meticulously CNC machined, I added a rounded top line, not only for aesthetics but for better performance on the greens. By shifting the top line radius a 1/4 of an inch towards the toe of the putter I was able to move the center of gravity in the x axis. Combined with tungsten performance weights allowed for the center balance of the putter to be perfect. This particular putter was finished in our black dlc, line-line configuration, and complimented with process blue paint.

Because of the level of interest we decided to bring this model back and do a limited run of 20. We decided to call it the 9320. The 20 comes from the 20 pieces that we will be making. We thought it would be extremely fun to create a group me chat room with all the buyers to collaborate together on the artwork of the putter and socialize as well. In the group me chat room you will also have the option to collaborate on a head cover design. So putter artwork and head cover d...esign will be determined by the buyers. It is going to be a 1 piece configuration, your choice of carbon or stainless GSS, plumber neck only, and no weights on the sole of the putter. This putter will include your choice of length, lie, and head weight, all of course milled to your specifications. The head weights offered are going to be 340, 350 or 360 grams. We have decided to do a standard light face mill and compliment the putter with a beautiful satin silver or raw finish (rusty). If you are looking for a different finish we can most definitely discuss but there will be an up charge for that. This putter includes a chrome shaft, your choice of sight lines, paint fills, and a Kevin Burns grip.... There will be other options available for an up charge if desired. #throwbackthursday to when we did a handful of prototype putters for @nikegolf. This putter was crafted from soft carbon steel and features Nikes iconic swoosh in the cavity. Using scrupulous attention to detail, we applied very light milling to the face of the putter and complimented the face as well with our signature Kevin Burns logo. Not a bad garage find today if you ask me. #kbgolf. #golf #golfswing #golfwrx #golfswing #golfcourse #putterporn #putter #puttercover #putterheadcover #customgolfclubs #clubchampion #customputters #pga #pgatour #japantour #bayareagolf #golfdigest #golfchannel #golfcoach #drivingrange #putterporn #fairway #clubhouse #puttermaking #instagolf #golfball #golfstagram #ballmarker #divottool #nikegolf #nike

Our signature pyramid grooves face milling technology was crafted with the purpose of offering a softer and more responsive feel. The pyramids get the ball rolling immediately and reduce energy to the ball, which gives you better speed control. We have tested how pyramids respond on a quintic machine ( @quinticgolf )and the impact ratio is smaller, which allows for a better roll and better speed control. #kbgolf #seethedifferencefeelthedifference

Sending this 9305 long neck home to @jonprobins today! Listening to Jon’s requests and his input, I was able to make modifications to this model and satisfy his needs such as a more rounded top line, rounded neck, and pressed weights. This putter is perfectly face balanced, 1 piece monolithic, features a 70.5 lie angle, and also weighs in at 344 grams as requested. Using a tungsten and stainless combination for the weights allows this putter to be perfectly center balanced (...sweet spot is in the middle / perfect ). Believe it or not, the hardest part of this build was pressing the copper insert and weights in after the finish and paint were applied. We had to re-make a press fixture out of a special material so that when pressing the weights and copper insert it would not burnish the flame finish. The reason we had to put the weights and insert in after is because when applying the flame finish there is an incredible amount of heat transferring to the part, which makes the metals thermal expand at different rates. This could cause the pressed weights and insert to move around and not be flush. #kbgolf See more

What started as a 3-D solid model, block of steel, and countless hours of fixture building concluded as one of my favorite builds of all time. It has been over 20 years since I have crafted a long neck putter, best known as the 9305 LN back in the day. @jonprobins initially was the first to request bringing back this head shape and with his input as well as @jhalversongolf input, we were able to make the necessary modifications to satisfy their individual wants and needs. It ...is only fitting to re name this putter the 9305 LN inspired by JH & JR (@jhalversongolf ) (@jonprobins ). This long neck features a monolithic construction and is face balanced (no toe hang) in relation to the 73 lie angle. It also features 2 of loft. For those wondering, the neck length conforms to USGA rules. While I was making modifications to the head, I knew it was imperative to control the center of gravity. The current head weight of this putter is 353 grams (as requested by the client). In order to achieve this desired head weight I had to make slight modifications to the weight ports and also made the heel weight stainless steel and the toe tungsten. Modifications were also made to the overall shape of the putter. For instance, the bumpers are more square, flat top line, and the neck has a classic rounded tone to resemble previous long necks we have done. To finish this build we re-designed the weights and made them permanent, added a sound slot for better feedback, and a copper insert to enhance the beauty of the putter as well as deaden the sound of the ball hitting the club. This copper insert is slightly different in that it resembles a more traditional look of the inserts we created in 1996 into the early 2000’s #kbgolf

Let’s talk deep milling. What makes it different? What are the pros and cons? All great questions that are commonly asked when choosing a face milling. The benefits of deep face milling is it changes the sound to a thud and less of a click. Deep face milling performs better on wet surfaces because its deep grooves grab the ball better than your traditional standard face milling. In short terms the ball wont slide off. You will also not need as much loft to get the ball ...rolling. This is purely my opinion but I find that deep face millings best attribute is its ability to reduce the energy transfer on the face. This means that the ball will not come off hot, but instead force you to make a full stroke. It also gives you better speed control. Lastly, deep face milling just looks cool in general. To touch up on the cons not all deep face millings are created equal. You will get different results depending on machine speeds, feeds, and cutters other Manufacturers are using. As I mentioned earlier deep face milling reduces energy transfer to the ball IF YOU ARE USING A FACE MILL. Some might not like this and feel as if they are coming up short. Our approach to deep face milling is a little different. Our approach focuses primarily on sound and cosmetics. We do not use a face mill but a single point engraving tool. This keeps the face silky smooth but also gives the traditional deep face mill look without any reduction in energy transfer. If you are looking for the performance side of deep face milling we are going to put you in our pyramid groove technology every time. #kbgolf
