Kern County Scottish Games

The 2020 Bakersfield Scottish Games and Gatherings have been cancelled due to the health crisis that is affecting us all. The board members and games committee, although it was a very difficult decision, know this was the right decision for the society, its members,and the community of Bakersfield and Kern County. For all those clans and vendors who made deposits, we will start the refund process immediately.We wish you all to stay well and healthy, and we will start working on games for 2021. As always thank all of you for your support. Without you, none of this could ever happen.

Our vendor letter and applications are up on our website under the Highland Games section. We're up against some competition from the Vegas Games and Tulare County Ren Faire - unfortunately we had no choice in the dates the fairgrounds had available. Tickets will be available at the door this evening if you didn't by yours presale. Kern County Scottish Society Burns Night Supper at American Legion Post 26 on H Street. Social Hour starts at 6 with dinner and ceremonies beginning at 7. Don't miss this great evening to celebrate Rabbie Burns.

Just a little reminder about Christmas parade this Thursday, Scottish Society has a float again this year, we are number 85 and located at 21st and O across from Hall Ambulance . If you would like to join us on the float be there no later than 5:15 pm
