GRADUATION AUTISM PROJECT 2021 We have decided once again to do something special for our graduating students with autism this year. The Autism Society-Kern Autism Network, Inc. is looking for students diagnosed with AUTISM/ASPERGERS, who are due to graduate this May from either Jr. High or High School, to contact us! We understand that schools are slowly returning this year to complete the end of their school year and that includes graduations.... We would like to create a picture collage video of those students to acknowledge them on our Facebook Page and in our Newsletter for June. We need your help in acquiring this information and parental permission to do so. These students deserve recognition for their efforts in getting to this point in life. School is difficult enough with day to day routines, but when all is disrupted with our current situation, it does not make the situation any easier to explain. They deserve a special salute and we want to bring that to them through our community outreach program. DEADLINE IS May 21st. Families in Kern County with autism and related disabilities, register with us to pick-up disposable face masks and face shields while supplies last. The first 25 families to arrive early on pick up day, will receive a $25 gift card. Dear Families and Friends- The Autism Society-Kern Autism Network, Inc. is looking for your help! We are accepting a limited amount of nominations for this Thanksgiving Holiday. If you know a family that is struggling financially through a loss of employment or loss of a loved one due to Covid-19, you can help by nominating them for our Thanksgiving Dinner Program. We will need a narrative of why you are nominating them, sent to us. Please message us through this Facebook Platform and be prepared to share their contact information so we may reach them directly.
