Cruisin Grand kicked off the season Friday night. Was there, camera in hand...got a few shots before the wife and granddaughter decided it was time to eat...what can I say, I've never been one to pass up food.

It's Baseball Season and here are a few shots from Monday's game between the Valley Center Jaguars and the Miners from Reno NV

I had the honor of spending last night with some fantastic young ladies at the 49th annual Miss Valley Center Pageant. I'd had the opportunity to meet all of the contestants a few weeks ago when I took each of their portraits, so it wasn't too much of a shock when they saw me prowling around backstage with a camera...At any rate, here are a small cross-section of the 3K images taken during the pageant and the rehearsal.

It's been a fun couple of weeks--Poway Rodeo Queen Pageant, then the Miss Valley Center Pageant this past Saturday! I'm always impressed with the talent and bravery (and did I mention beauty) of these young ladies.

It was an exciting weekend. Saturday morning I was shooting the 1st Annual Low Rider Races at Agape Ranch/Dog Park. You wouldn't think those short legged breeds could run...but they proved to be up to the task. (Take a look at the sample pics). On the way home I saw an unusual amount of bicycle traffic and escort vehicles...like a REALLY unusual amount! What I realized was that Valley Center was right in the middle of the Annual Race Across America. The race started at th...e Oceanside pier and will run all the way to Annapolis MD. The riders that I saw were relay teams that will race 24/7 until they get to the other side of the country (7 to 8 days). Most of the teams were racing on behalf of some charity or research organization. Take a close look at the last riders on the tandem bike...that team is named "Sea to See"...the racers in the stoker (rear seat) position are blind! See more
