Digging through photos the other day and came across this one. Some of my favorite inlays I've done (btw, all three designs are by Petar Milivojevic).

I....think I see what's causing the dampening problem in your guitar..... :D

This is a project I finished last year but came across this photo today. My "KL" tribute to the original Explorer (after it evolved from the "Futura" to the Explorer we know now). (The only time I would ever do dots on a custom build, it was to keep in tune with the "Vintage" vibe). One thing that made this pretty special is that the one-piece body and one-piece neck came from the same creamy, figured Korina board. All of the dark wood is some very old Indian Rosewood (also, from one board). So, at the end of the day, only two woods from two boards. Pretty cool. (and no, I'm sorry but it's not available).

I just got a head's Up (from Mike Pettet, thank you Mike!) that there is a Pawn shop in Santa Clarita, Ca that is selling Chinese fakes of my guitars and passing them off as the real thing. They are the crappy $500 dollar ones that they are marking up to $3K each!! These are definitely crappy fakes and I have nothing to do with them so beware!!!!

Here's a fun, recent inlay. Can you guess who's who?

Here I've been thinking that I needed a groovy high-tech spray booth and all I need is this guy. Anyone have his contact info :D

Most of the inlays I do are Shell and Mother of Pearl so this was a fun combo of alternative materials. Afzelia Burl, dyed stabilized Maple Burl, three different Recon stones, recon Ivory and Gold MoP. I'll do more photos after the finish on the guitar is done.

Sorry for the long absence from posting!! I do have something interesting today though. I have a client who, for various reasons, asked if I could find a new home for this "V" Guitar. It hasn't left the shop so it is still brand spanking new. Custom KL 6 string "V" Guitar... Genuine Mahogany Body and Neck Striped, figured Chechen Top, Headcap and Rear Cover Plates (Battery cover on magnetic catches) *Premium* Snakewood: Fretboard, Truss Rod Cover and Selector Switch Knob (This is some of THE most perfect Snakewood I've seen yet!!) Fiber-Optic/Mother of Pearl side position markers in Amber color (this color is change-able if desired) Large Stainless Steel Frets Titanium Bridge Saddles (in Tone Pros Br) "Vintage" Bone Nut Water Buffalo Horn Knobs Figured White Mother of Pearl Logo in Ebony "surround" EMG "Super 77" active pickups (these are change-able as well) Locking Sperzel Tuners Schaller Strap Locks Oil and Wax finish Custom Ameritage hard-shell case As I did before, I will accept offers by PM ** I haven't had any firm commitment yet so I'll leave this up for the time being. (You are also welcome to call (707) 822 2543 or email: [email protected]) This guitar, with the up-grades, Snakewood and Chechen, and the Custom Ameritage case, spec'd out at $6380.00 so that will be the low reserve.
