Vaginal discharge is an umbrella term used to describe any fluid that comes out of the vagina. Vaginal discharges are expected and, most of the time, healthy, and they belong to the tremendous self-cleaning vagina environment. Many vaginal discharges are not fertility-related, such as arousal fluid, and unusual secretions due to bacterial vaginosis. The only fertility-related vaginal fluid is cervical mucus, and it’s the one you’re most likely to see on your underwear. Cer...vical fluid is mucus produced by the cervix and is made up of mucus molecules, protein chains, minerals, and water. Cervical fluid has a unique electrolyte structure that changes throughout the menstrual cycle due to hormonal shifts. The consistency, quantity, and color can vary significantly throughout the cycle and among women. However, in general, cervical mucus follows a trend that reflects what is happening hormonally in the body. Understanding your unique cervical fluid pattern is the most accurate way to predict your fertile window and maximize the chance of conception.

Unlike LH tests that simply take into account a single urine sample’s information, kegg is using an intelligent algorithm and comparing kegg data from your entire cycle, along with trends of your past cycles, to better recognize your most fertile days. This is why consistently taking kegg readings once a day and at a consistent time is of utmost importance to get accurate results. Read more http://bit.ly/3ssZvRj

[Health World Day] Currently, the healthcare field remains biased and uneven, with women receiving less overall quality healthcare than men. At kegg, we aim to take every day a more significant step towards improving women's health and equality in healthcare. Discrimination and exclusion are a large part of healthcare. It is time to build a fairer and more equal, and healthy world for everyone everywhere. World Health Organization (WHO) #helloworld #womenhealth

Many women rely on LH (Luteinizing hormone) testing to track when they are approaching ovulation. Although this can help pinpoint when ovulation is likely to occur, unfortunately there is no way to predict when this surge will take place with LH testing. Whether or not a woman is trying to conceive, understanding the effects of stress on the menstrual cycle is a key piece of information because we are all experiencing stress at different levels. Stress can interfere with hormonal shifts that accompany women’s cycles, whether the stress comes from work related situations, emotional roller coasters, traveling, extensive exercising, poor nutrition, or certain medications. In this blog, we present a testimony from a fertility Instructor (Fertilityfreedom) & kegg user, who experienced alterations in her cycles due to stress. #hormones #hormonebalance #womenhealth #stress #fertilityunderstood #fertility http://bit.ly/3uxDtyc

We often get questions about how kegg compliments fertility awareness methods. The best way to answer is by bringing you stories from real kegg users who are aso experts in these widely used methods. In our latest blog, we present a story of a woman, Leslie Rewis, who uses kegg to compliment her use of the #BillingsOvulationMethod, a form of #naturalfamilyplanning based primarily on observations of sensation at the #vulva and the appearance of #cervicalmucus on underwear o...r toilet paper. Data lovers, check this out! Thank you to a wonderful keggster who shared her data and also combined other data sources into one image for our viewing pleasure! Please note: kegg does not currently display temps on the same image in the app. Key : - kegg data in green - Temps, collected via Tempdrop in purple - The yellow cross hairs represent the cover line using sensiplan rules and division between the follicular phase (pre-ovulation and ovulation) and luteal phase (p...ost ovulation) Looking at the kegg data, beginning on cycle day 5 (Nov 12) she begins her descent towards her ovulation window. We often describe the ‘valley’ between two peaks or a U-shaped curve when referring to this window of time. This chart nicely demonstrates this. After this initial peak (cycle day 5) she begins the descent cluing her in that she was likely approaching ovulation. On cycle day 11 this keggster has a very low result comparative to her previous days. The following day she has a surge in her kegg data, suggesting ovulation has occurred, as she transitions to progesterone production. When comparing to her other data, you will notice that her temps don’t offer a whole lot of insight as they remain fairly flat during this pre-ovulatory time. She identified peak mucus (indicated with the darker blue ) beginning on cycle day 8. She has a positive LH test on cycle day 11. The following day she has a surge in her kegg data, she identifies peak cervical mucus, and her LH test is negative. She has a rise in her temps on cycle day 13. Unlike temps, her kegg data does not remain extremely elevated post ovulation (during the luteal phase). This is common. To suspect she had ovulated she just needed to see a rise in comparison to that dip. Many keggsters experience secondary dips in the luteal phase as well. Her temperatures as you will see, remain elevated. She also noted that she was very careful to test as close to the same time each day when able. All of her tests are within a 2 hour timeframe (as recommended). She marked temperature shift and cervical fluid observations following Sensiplan rules. It's a beautiful chart, isnt?

How does kegg detect my fertile window? kegg uses the "kegg method" to predict your fertile window. kegg senses the electrolytes in your cervical mucus which correlate with the various reproductive hormones that fluctuate throughout your cycle. kegg is smart It learns the trends of your cycle that are unique to you, to make reliable predictions, taking the guess-work out of predicting your fertile window. Every woman has a unique trend! What kinds of trends does ...kegg look for? First, kegg looks for a rising trend in your test results occurring within a certain window of time. Next, it is searching for a downward trend. Kegg expects to see at least 3 downward data points after that initial rise to predict the fertile window. Following that downward trend, you would expect to see a rise, signifying the shift to progesterone production after ovulation. kegg puts your predicted fertile window on your chart so you can know in advance when you will be fertile. #cervicalmucus #cervicalfluid #fertilityawareness #fertilitytracking #womenshealth #womenempowerment #health #bodyliteracy #body #fertility #fertilityjourney #fertilewindow
