The effects of COVID-19 are broadly felt all over youth sports. The plan for Little League is to resume May 11, but that will also depend on local, state and CDC guidelines.

The season has been suspended until no earlier than April 6 in an effort to promote social distancing to combat the spread of COVID-19. Little League and District 33 has issued recommendations to the suspension of the current season and Kearny Mesa Little League will comply. As a result there will not be any games or practices no earlier than April 6. Picture Day scheduled this Saturday, March 14, will be postponed and rescheduled. Closing Day, set for May 16, may be resched...uled. Thank you to the Kearny Mesa Family for making Opening Day a Success! Arianne McDonald (center) was honored for her service to our Little League (as our President) and to the District. Thank you to the Kearny Mesa Board (bottom) and other volunteers for putting Opening Day together. Opening Day Ceremonies were followed by several games. The KM Blue Tigers played the KM DinoBots and the KM Super Sonics played the KM Godzillas in T-ball. This was followed by the KM Cobras vs S...era Mesa (Minors) and the KM Padres vs Sera Mesa (CAPS). Finally, in their season opener, the KM Cubs achieved their first victory over Murphy Canyon 10-0. There will be on-site registration ($150) and age/residency verification between 9-10am and assessments for Players age 4-8 years old between 10-11am and for Players age 8-12 years old between 11:30am-12:30pm. Come find us at the baseball fields associated with the Kearny Mesa Recreation Center off of Armstrong Street. Exact times may be subject to change. Everyone plays! Player assessments are used to determine which age level team a player should be on. We are looking for players for T-ball (boys and girls ages 4-7 years), CAPS (boys and girls ages 7-8 years), Minors (boys and girls ages 8-11 years) and Majors (boys and girls ages 10-12 years).
