Hello again! I thought today would be a good day to reintroduce myself and my services. Today marks a year that I launched my website and grew my business beyond word of mouth:) Working as an Independent College Counselor over the last year has been challenging and immensely satisfying. I have assisted many families trying to navigate their students’ paths while attending high school from home. Watching my students get accepted and receive scholarships for their hard work is very fulfilling. I thoroughly enjoy being part of this process with them. Happy summer everyone! I thought I would take this opportunity to re-introduce myself as a Private College Counselor, aka Educational Consultant. I attended UCLA and pursued graduate work at the University of San Diego. I am married with three children, living in Solana Beach, CA. My oldest just graduated from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. My middle child is now a senior at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She is planning to s...pend the fall in Turin, Italy. We are hoping that she can have this important and valuable experience, fingers crossed! My youngest (and number one client :) is a rising senior at Canyon Crest Academy. Prior to having kids, I was in the corporate world, as well I owned my own fashion accessory business for ten years. I ran my first marathon last year and got to check the box on a long term goal. 2019 also included a trip around Egypt with my mom. I had an unbelievable experience. There is no substitute for traveling to a culture that is very unique to your own. I visit the east coast a great deal to see family and to research colleges. I made the decision to get certified and become a College Counselor after assisting my daughters and their friends with the college application process. I enjoy working with high schoolers and helping to facilitate their goals in higher education. I believe students need the best college fit academically, socially, and financially. I organize my program to consider all factors. My clients and I have worked together with great success. COVID-19 has created many questions surrounding the concept of attending college. The class of 2020 has been presented with a landscape of new options. The class of 2021 and classes following this will see a great deal of change. Throughout the past many months I have followed the changes and I am watching the updates. This is a very exciting time to be working in my field! I feel fortunate to be working in a extremely important and complex industry.
