Hey Everyone, I’m back!! I took the holidays off of my biz page. Hope y’all are killing it in the new year! I’m so grateful as this marks one full year of me being Self-employed/Independent Contractor & an office space . Man has it been a journey!! I love the flexibility, being your own boss, the freedom to do what I know my clients need & not what others think I should do. The ability to refer out to other professionals who I know can take good care of my patients. It’s b...een a real blessing & yet quite a challenge; you definitely have to hustle way more for your work: always be on, ready to take calls & working on marketing. I love the diversity though- I have 3 different ways of making income & it’s fun to go from job to job. It’s been a blast & though taxes won’t be fun, God has blessed me with a stable income. I know I haven’t made it yet, but I feel great with where I’m at & will always continue to grow & reach higher. My Neck has been a problem ever since I was in a bad car accident when I was 19yrs old. All before I was in the field of Kinesiology. I had no idea I should have asked for alternative medical treatment, even though I couldn’t bend my back without severe pain for 3 weeks. They just have me pain pills & said I was fine. Then at 23, I was in another bad car accident (none of the above my fault). I was finally aware of the damages that could occur, having graduated with my bachel...ors & being a CMT- I was not surprised to see in my X-rays that I had developed Forward Head posture- a Straight/Military Neck & a Hyperkyphotic curve of my thoracic spine (mid back). No wonder I was having chronic migraines that started at about 20yrs old..hmm. In February I met Vitality Medical Center, covering some shifts & began to receive treatment for my neck & back. It’s been a long road since then, but I’m so grateful for their hard work & dedication to my case, as my migraines have diminished into minor headaches, only every now & then. Also my curvatures are visibly better! I am almost at my goal this was in late August)! Goal: 30degrees & 0.5degrees (before: 19.3 & 1.29) Of course this was not possible without including other holistic treatments & especially consistent Massage Therapy. Thank you so much! 4 years ago on Sept 15th I became a certified, graduated Massage Therapist & Health Educator from @nhimassageschool . It’s been an incredible journey thus far & I am so grateful for the people who have helped, encouraged & mentored me along the way. Camp Keepsake through the Cancer Hope Foundation 2018, Malibu, CA!! My first time volunteering & WOW, I did not know I was in for an such an amazing, emotional & fun weekend! 2 years ago I graduated CSUF with my Bachelors in Kinesiology. In my opinion one of the top universities for the KNES program. All amazing well published Professors & great resources. A counselor in my department was the one who suggested going to trade school for Massage Therapy (or Personal Training) because classes were really impacted that semester. I am so grateful she mentioned it bc now I am a weapon against Pain. With all the knowledge from KNES & from Massage therapy... core & Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy; I am able to help manage & eliminate people’s pain! I love this career so much & am looking to further my education in the future.
