Some beautiful balayage highlights for this ‘first-timer’ to color if you’d have asked me just 6 months ago if I thought bleaching an adolescents hair was a good idea, I’d have told you HECK NO! Since then, my opinion has done a full 180. Having a pre-teen daughter of my own, and especially watching her navigate this weird and difficult time of life made me change my mind. Times are hard for them... they need to be allowed to express themselves in simple and safe ways. I often forget that my kids are going through things right along with me. My new answer to that question is; when **done properly**, it is A-OK to let them have some color - even bleach

Before & After on one of my longest clients I don’t get to see her often, but when I do, we make stuff happen several hours and MANY ounces of product later....

BEFORE & AFTER: Color Correction! This took several hours, lots of careful execution and TONS of product. The reason I charge $200/hour for color corrections is not only the time they take, but the hair is often unpredictable and fragile. This client started with layers of dark red over dark red. She then tried using color remover and ended up with yellow roots, orange/splotchy mid-shaft, and fried ends. This is only one session so there is still some red here and there, but after a good haircut I’m happy with the result.

Hi clients I’m doing my part in practicing social distancing in hopes that we can get this craziness under control before it’s too late. Starting this week, I’m pressing the pause button on all scheduled appointments.... I realize that everyone looks forward to their hair appt, and that this will come as an unwelcome surprise for most... please know this is an extremely thoughtful decision.. by doing this, I will personally cut my contact with approx 25-35 humans/week... t...hat’s a big deal. I will contact those on my schedule individually to reschedule. You’re my top priority once this is all said and done. Ive attached an incredibly visual article to help you understand my reasoning. To my valued and LOVED clients: I have exciting news to share! After FOUR awesome years at Sola Rocklin, I’m moving! We’re opening our own mini-salon in Loomis. It will still be just Katie and I, but the space is much larger, has its own restroom, and is even more private than our current studio It’s also less than 5 miles from our current space and for those who typically have to fight the traffic of Highway 65 to get to me, you can bypass all of that mess.The new s...alon is located conveniently right off the freeway at Horseshoe Bar Rd & I-80 at: 6215 S. Walnut Street Suite B (bottom middle) Loomis 95650 I realize that for some of you, this adds a little time to your commute. Please know that I appreciate and love you and I cannot wait to share this space with you as I’m very proud of it.
