JASPER Introductory Seminar (Virtual) October 30th 8am-12:30pm Join Dr. Connie Kasari and members of her JASPER training team for an introductory lecture on JASPER. Participants will gain a working understanding of the history, purpose, and goals of the JASPER intervention as well as introduction to an assessment tool designed to identify targets for intervention. Through this, participants will gain key knowledge of our core domains including Joint Attention (and social com...munication), Symbolic Play, Engagement, and Regulation. Following this seminar, those who wish to continue learning to implement JASPER or become certified as a JASPER interventionist must attend our JASPER Core Domains and Mechanics Workshop and submit recorded sessions for fidelity rating. The resul...ts are from a pilot study of an established behavioral therapy for autism called JASPER, which is known to improve social skills and communication when implemented by trained therapists.
