Last night, I was honored to speak at the Korean American Journalist Association 2015 Award Ceremony and highlight the Government of Japan's responsibility to apologize unambiguously for their wartime past. Our partners in the media have been, and continue to be, integral to bringing justice to the surviving "comfort women" and their families. Japanese Government must heed my call to atone for their actions and correct the history books so that, as George Santayana said, "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." at Sunnyvale Community Center.
