Hello there, my name is Bubba. I'm a very handsome, large fella that is looking for my perfect fit. You see, I can sometimes be nervous of new humans and it can... take a me a little bit of time to warm up, but once I do, you'll come to realize I'm a super playful, funny, and happy fella that will love to be in your company. I love to play with toys and I'll engage in playing ball with you any time. You name the time and place -I'm there! I do still have some manners to learn but that will be part of the bonding experience. I am a very funny boy who just is a bit misunderstood at first. Do you think you could take a chance on me and be my perfect match? Please call the shelter if you’d like to meet me: 805-543-9316 x 10. See more

Gus will be moved to Wood’s Humane Society on Monday 5/4/2020 Please look for him there is you are ready to make him your new best friend! Tucker has bee...n Adopted!!!! Two Paws WAY up!!! Gus - the sable boy is now on his own waiting for his person Thank for caring and sharing!!We were found and trapped in California Valley. Were we dumped or did someone move away and leave us behind? We were caught trying to feed ourselves - chasing a goat. Now we know that behavior is not good, but we did not have a lot of options given our circumstances. We are both intact boys. We'll have to be neutered to leave the shelter. We are sweet and love affection and when you visit with us, we just cannot get quite close enough to you. We love petting and crave attention. We are named Gus and Tucker. Just so you know the difference let me introduce myself, I am Gus- the sable boy with the beautiful, thick coat and an almost entirely purple tongue. And I am Tucker the side kick. I am a standard black and tan. I am a bit submissive and a little head shy. We don't look like brothers but we definitely rely on each other and it would be great if we could be adopted together. We don't know much about toys or balls and we don't know commands, at least in English. The shelter estimates us to be pretty young, between 1 and 2. So there is plenty of time to teach us some stuff and have some fun! It would be a good if you were dog savy and have some patience. We are really good boys but our circumstances may mean we don't know much about living in a house or usual dog stuff. And given we were found with a goat, probably a household that did not have livestock would be a good idea. If you would like to meet us and I sure hope you would like to, please call the San Luis Obispo Animal Shelter to make an appointment 805 781 4400. Our animal ID's are A245294 and A245292

SLO County Animal Services is still open for adoptions! Please share to help spread the word. Limited hours Monday through Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m., and you m...ust CALL to make an appointment with the office to see a specific animal. People interested cannot just show up and walk through the shelter right now. What better time to pick out a love bug who would love to be at home with you all day, like this sweet little girl shown in the picture, "Selene". She is shy and quiet at first but loves everybody, seems to like all other dogs we have had her around, especially the boys! She loves to be right by your side and cuddle.
