San Miguel Parents & Families: Here are key takeaways from last night’s board meeting: 1) We’re on track to bring kids back to school in-person 5 days a week before month-end. Next week, Superintendent Calloway will confirm a start date and new schedules. Our approved COVID safety plan can be found here: https://docs.google.com/a/mwusd.org/viewer ... 2) The district will be offering two 3-week summer school sessions at all three elementary schools TK-5th. First session runs from 6/14 7/2 and second sessions runs from 7/5 7/23. Students will be in class 5-days a week from 8:30 11:30 am. Information will be forthcoming to parents later this month. 3) The district is on track for a full reopening at the start of the 2021/22 school year! 4) 2021-2022 Online Enrollment for NEW students entering TK 1st Grade is now OPEN at https://mwusd.org/. Please encourage families interested in our district to enroll. 5) For the latest district news, COVID information and resources, visit https://mwusd.org/. Our Board of Trustees, Superintendent, Administrators, Teachers and Aides are beyond excited to welcome back our students 5-days a week soon! San Miguel families! We need your help!! The count down to hybrid has begun, and San Miguel would love to bring some cheer and words of support to our kids to let them know that their community is here for them rooting them on by displaying signs. These signs will be at all schools on both Welcome Back days for Cohort A (3/29) and Cohort B (4/1).... Here are the details: Make signs! Have fun, and get creative!! You are strong MWUSD strong Signs can be dropped off Monday and Wednesday morning before drop off begins. MWUSD Parents & Families: All, By now most of you have probably heard the news regarding the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendation for 3 foot distancing in classrooms. Please note that this is a recommendation from CDC, but in order to move forward with 3 foot distancing, it would require the California Department of Health and local County Department of Public Health to provide this guidance. At this time, California has not provided the guidance so we remain in ...the 6 foot distancing format. Additionally, should we get any guidance that 3 foot distancing is now permissible, we would need 2 weeks of lead time to adjust before moving to this protocol.
