Our scouts participated in the "Yo-Yo Adventure" tonight via Zoom. They learned that yo-yo tricks aren't easy, but they are fun!
We still aren’t able to meet in person, but that doesn’t mean that our scouting adventures are put on hold. In August, our scouts will participate in a Yo-yo Adventure, a neighborhood trash clean-up, a knot tying adventure, and learn about scouts from around the world. Each scout received an Adventure Kit with all of the necessary supplies for our scouting adventures!
A simple first aid kit is one of the six essential items that every Cub Scout should have with them on a hike.
Pack 222 ‘hiked’ in the neighborhoods around Fairmount Park today. We hung up door hangers on lots and lots of houses and we picked up trash, too! The pack also spent a few minutes picking up trash in the parking area at American Legion Post 79, our charter organization and scouting home.
Scouts from Pack 222 and Troop 129 Jurupa Valley helped Healthy Jurupa Valley spread seed bombs and poppy seeds at Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center today. We can’t wait to see the wild flowers in a couple months!
Meet 109 scouts that became famous! I would have never guessed that Zach Galifianakis was an Eagle Scout! https://blog.scoutingmagazine.org///famous-former-scouts/
Does Scouting "Work"? From a study conducted by Tufts University: Scouts who attended meetings regularly reported higher character attributes than those who attended infrequently. In a nod to the importance of tenure, Scouts who stayed in the program longer reported higher character attributes.
Pack 222 visited Joshua Tree National Park for our Winter Campout this year. We spent the weekend of December 6 - 8, 2019 at this incredibly beautiful park. The scouts hiked, did some bouldering, and did some star gazing.
The scouts from our Webelos and AOL dens spent the weekend of November 15-17, 2019 camping with Boy Scouts Troop 129 at the Whitewater Preserve. They learned valuable skills that they will be able to use when the bridge to a Boy Scouts Troop.
Pack 222 camped at Rancho Jurupa Park on the weekend of October 25 - 27, 2019. We "Tent or Treated" and had an awesome costume contest with all of the scouts and family. The pack also invited Girl Scout Troop 464 and Girl Scout Troop 1022 to join us. It is certainly a tradition that we look forward to continuing!
