Dear Customers, The IRS tax filing deadline has been extended to May 17th. However, Julio's Tax Services will only be available until April 30th.... Julio and his wife will be welcoming their first child, using this time to bond with their new addition. We ask that you please plan accordingly and be prepared to come in with your tax documents on or before April 30th. From Bloomberg's Ally Versprille: IRS says it has now issued all first and second round stimulus checks "it is legally permitted to issue." The agency was required by the December Covid relief law to finish sending the second batch by Jan. 15. IRS does say some may still be in the mail but all are on the way. Those who don't get a payment they were supposed to receive must claim that money on their 2020 tax return filed this year.... That's all the information that we have right now. I can't stress enough that you should not call your tax preparer to ask about the status. Also, please do not email us asking about status. Folks are sending me their personal information, including SSNs, and not only is that unsafe, we cannot check for you. And finally, I mentioned last year but it bears repeating that anyone who claims to have a "fast track" to get your stimulus check to you faster is scamming you. Please do not pay money to anyone in exchange for a stimulus check link, etc. IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE FULL VALUE OF YOUR STIMULUS CHECKS, the only way to get it is to file your 2020 return. #tax #IRS #stimuluscheck #EIP #EconomicImpactPayments #rebate #rebaterecoverycredit

Hi Everyone just an FYI If you have claimed unemployment benefits in 2020 -- you will have a tax bill. That's because unemployment benefits ARE taxable. And while some states were good about withholding it on the front end, not all of them did so.... Which means that you absolutely need to take this into account (even on an estimated tax payment next week).

Many of you have received your stimulus check. Many have not yet, but know that it IS coming. May we offer some advice? Please use these funds wisely. The stimulus check should be something that you use to pay your essential bills. This is not for frivolous spending.... - Keep paying your rent. (Your landlord has bills too.) - Keep paying your mortgage. (Even if payments are suspended, they will eventually be due IN FULL later. You don't want to get behind.) - Keep paying your utilities. (Same principle as with your mortgage.) There is always free cheese in a mousetrap. Be wise in this hour. Don't allow this short-term "bonus" to affect your habits.

We received this notification from the Social Security Administration yesterday that we wanted to pass along to you: Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit payments will continue to be paid on time during the COVID-19 pandemic. The agency also reminds everyone to be aware of scammers who try to take advantage of the pandemic to trick people into providing personal information or payment via retail gift cards, wire transfers, internet currency, or by mailing cash, to maintain Social Security benefit payments or receive economic impact payments from the Department of the Treasury.
