Am I a Nomad or a Settler? For most, the answer to this question has been pretty straightforward: I’m a Settler. From the sleepiest farms some 10,000 years ago to the espresso-charged urban jungles of the 20th century, we humans have tended to spend most of our lives in and around fixed settlements- precious yet tiny fragments of the world that we’ve come to call ‘home’. But for 99% of human history, ‘#home’ was not so narrowly defined. It was a place carved out by fres...h animal tracks, the slow meander of rivers, and the aroma of blossoming fruits. Home was the setting sun, a crackling fire, and the awaited arrival of dawn. For our nomadic ancestors, home had a simple title: ’Earth’. And now, with the widespread emergence of portable devices and broadband internet, we’re finally free to say the same. The increasing potential for #remote #work gathering resources while on the move marks the new era of the #digital #nomad . With 82% of major companies polled this year planning to offer #remotework (at least part-time) indefinitely, the age-old question has gained renewed significance: #Nomad or #Settler?
