This super cute Quilt Needle Minder features a strong magnet to keep your pins and needles handy so they don’t end up somewhere painful - like under your feet (ouch!). I love using mine with handwork like embroidery & sashiko, hand quilting, and EPP so that I never lose track of my needles.

I'm definitely feeling the itch to knit this week. Whether it's the dropping temperatures, a bit of political anxiety, or maybe just time spent with the squishy yarns at the shop, my needles are calling. Personally, I'm a sucker for chunky yarns. I love the texture, and they knit up so quickly! How about you? Do you prefer knitting with a bulky or a lighter weight yarn?

There's a lot of news spinning tonight, but isn't it more fun to take a little break to look at quilts? Tina has become an EPP master, and she finished this gorgeous #TulaNova. Check out her #fussycutting - it's !

Remember those cut-and-sew panels from back in the day - teddy bears, roosters, Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls? Thanks to Alexander Henry Fabrics and the lovable Ghastlie family, the cut-and-sew panel has come a long way. There is still time to stitch up this charming cast of characters for your Halloween decor. One panel, a bag of stuffing, and some thread. Easy peasy!

Anyone else over mask sewing? I was suffering from Mask Sewing Fatigue (MSF) until we received these new prints from Allison Cole and Liz Mytinger. Mask Up! and Have Fun, Stay Safe! both feature cute critters displaying proper mask etiquette. Marketing materials may pitch these for kids, but you won't judge me if you see me wearing one the next time you see me, will you?

Shifting Tides: Convergence in Cloth is a traveling exhibit currently on view at the Pratt Museum in Homer, Alaska. 45 artists, all living along the Pacific Rim, created pieces inspired by the Pacific Ocean and its current plight. Swipe to see more, including a beautiful piece from Maria Shell.

The thing about free motion quilting is that, for most of us, it requires some practice before we're super happy with the end result. (I know that some of you were born quilting perfect feathers, and I won't hold it against you. ) @tina_lennon's genius idea? Practicing on bags. Small project. Low risk. Useful final project. No one gonna judge. Not just a scrap sandwich destined to be discarded or maybe become a hamster quilt. Thank you Tina! Your quilting is gorgeous, and the lesson golden.

Current fabric obsession: Nancy Nicholson’s Summer Sampler. With a Scandi folk art vibe and a stitchery look (Is that a thing?) it's making me super happy. I love the idea of adding some hand embroidery to the panel (swipe) for some depth and texture. Plus, the tiny dragonflies? Too. Good.

I've been whining a bit (ok, maybe more than a bit ) about the lack of Apple Cider Doughnuts here in southern California. Thoughtful Shawntell went out of her way to make me a batch, even though she'd never had them before. On this National Day, I'm feeling nostalgic for the other coast and crisp apples from roadside stands, fresh cider & doughnuts, vivid fall colors, and that clear, chill fall air.

Have you seen Andover's Sleepy Hollow collection yet? I get stuck every time I look at it - wondering about Halloween waffle cones, and where I might be able to find them.
