But She’s Nice aka Foxy was presented to the American Hanoverian Society today in hopes of being accepted into the stud book. Thoroughbred mares must score at least a 7 to be approved, where as registered warmblood mares are accepted with a 6. Being accepted into the AHS studbook means that Foxy’s foals by Hanoverian stallions would be registered as Hanoverians, even with more than 50% TB blood. This lovely girl was happily accepted scoring a 7.6 overall with a handful of... 8’s. The judge was so complimentary of her type and said many times, this is the type of Thoroughbred we are looking to add to our breed registry, she is a really wonderful type. I am so thrilled with my little diamond in the rough who was pulled out of the field a year ago... fat, sassy, and oh so feral!
