With a little regret and a lot of pride, CAPIC lets go of our wonderful board member, Dr. Megan O'Banion, to fly away and pursue other opportunities! Thanks for your commitment to social justice and to our communities, Megan! We will miss you terribly! Much love! <3

CAPIC attended the NCSPP MidWinter Conference in Long Beach this week! CAPIC ED, René Puliatti, served as our liaison, and reports that the conference was inspiring!! The conference was titled "(Re) claiming our identity: Rediscovering our social relevance as NCSPP and psychologists."... Quick Takeaways: - Now is the time to "Double Down" and put ideas into action. If you see something that needs doing, do it. - Successful community collaborations require an ongoing commitment - of time, conversations, energy, money and compassion. Success requires commitment! Doh! - Passion, professional and fun go together quite well. <3 :-) <3 Thanks to NCSPP for a great conference! A special thanks to Drs. Lavita Nadkarni, Megan O'Banion, and Torrey Wilson for their leadership! Thanks also to my CAPIC colleagues for a successful presentation on our experiences at NACIQI to better promote diversity, inclusiveness and social justice in the psychology profession: Drs. Andrea Morrison-Kaplan, Juliet Rohde-Brown and Farzana Mia Kahn! <3 <3 <3 Thanks also to Drs. Jorge Wong, Sukie MaGraw and Gery Rodriguez-Menendez for their support! And so many others! <3 Safe travels home to everyone! Http://www.capic.net http://www.thencspp.com

Rene Puliatti, CAPIC's Executive Director, is attending the 56th Annual Meeting of the The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) in Baltimore this week. ASPPB (through its Board, Liaisons and Delegates) primarily addresses the needs of the of licensing boards (CA and beyond), and through them, the needs of the public we ultimately serve. They do good work and they do it well! Expect more updates during the week!... Because what ASPPB does impacts CAPIC (and visa versa, though in a much smaller way), CAPIC will be formally requesting Liaison status with ASPPB after this meeting. #CAPIC #Psychology Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards
