WE WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 28TH FROM 11 TO 3!!!!! Featured Piece: Tattle-Tale, by Suzanne Adan. Fresh from the studio. Here is Tattle-Tale; Suzanne Adan’s latest offering. It is a must see in person (We will be open tomorrow, Saturday November 28th from 11 to 3 *hint hint*), but until the day comes (we are also open by appointment) that your eyes can salivate in front of this beauty, please allow us to provide a short introduction.... Look closely and you will be transported into the work as the 4th member of this human and animal staring contest. You are now in a world where vegetation does not produce leaves. From a leg that becomes a tree branch, numbers, letters, and symbols blossom. Adan’s allegorical compositions possess a truth telling camaraderie between the works participants, where there is a lesson to be learned. It is a fable where the animals present a story that feels refreshing, and unpolluted. For a closer look at Tattle-Tale, as well as other works by Adan, call or email us to schedule and appointment. We will be open Saturday November 28th from 11 to 3, for the closing of Michael Sarich's show, 3X!!!

Featured Piece: Green Nasturtium Series, by Joan Moment. The liquid medium provides the illusion of water. A movement of plants removed from the ground falling upon a glassy pond. There are no ripples that move outward, only motions that progress forward or backward. They are signs that the hand of the creator has moved. There is a logic in the movement. The rising of forms lift themselves from the right, diving down on the left. The repeated pressing of the leaves is evidenc...e that even if a shape is repeated, every occurrence is an experience that is different from the last. Two colors exist in the composition; an earthy brown, and a lush dark green. Standing on their own they provide contrast. In the moments where the two colors are layered, the brown and the green seep through one another, signaling renewal, and repair. For a closer look at Green Nasturtium Series, as well as other works by Moment, call or email us to schedule and appointment. [email protected] (916) 453- 2999 We will be open Saturday November 28th from 11 to 3, for the closing of Michael Sarich's show, 3X.

The seasons are changing, this is something that we love. With the holidays approaching, it’s a beautiful time to reflect on old memories and look forward to the new memories that will be created. We’ve all been spending extra time indoors, allowing everyone an opportunity to really focus on the ways that the interior spaces that we inhabit can encourage love, positivity & growth. We are open by appointment, call(916 453 2999), or email ([email protected]) us to set up a time that is convenient for you to stop in for a safe, distanced and personal visit to the gallery!

We are extremely excited to announce our upcoming exhibition Michael Sarich 3 X New Work... October 8, 2020 through November 28 Reception: October 8, 2020 from 5:00 7:00 Live Music Gallery Hours: By Appointment Coming from an internal place of complex aesthetic and emotional sensibilities, Michael Sarich’s work is an exchange between his own personal iconography and that of appropriated and disoriented cultural icons. The work is all at once personal and universal; a form of storytelling that is laden with symbols taken from pop and consumer culture. These recognizable elements are re-contextualized by Sarich’s life experience where his paintings, drawings, ceramics, and sculptures are the vessels for his narratives. Sarich is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art at the University of Nevada, Reno. His presence in the Reno art community has been felt by several generations, and he continues to be a huge inspiration. He is the recipient of numerous awards, fellowships, residencies including Bemis Center for contemporary Art, the Robert M. MacNamara Foundation, and the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant. He is widely collected by several institutions including The Art Institute of Chicago, the Missoula Art Museum, and the Jun Kaneko Museum in Omaha Nebraska and many more. He has exhibited both nationally, and internationally, most recently in Munich Germany. We are committed to providing a safe, distanced, and sanitized environment for everyone. We will be holding ourselves to the highest standards to provide the most ideal and enjoyable atmosphere. Because of, this masks are absolutely mandatory, as well as social distancing at a minimum of 6 feet. We are thrilled to return to providing receptions for exhibitions, and we cannot wait to see everyone. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email us

Featured Piece: Navigating the Slippery Slope, by John Yoyogi Fortes Simple and made up of two parts; a limbless stacked figure, head resting on top of a torso-esqe body, pushes forward to the front left of the composition. Outlined with a thick black drop shadow, the immobilized figure flattens out along the edges. It is a perfect simple boundary that encapsulates imagery that best explains the senses in connection to the human body a wondrous and conflicting tool. The n...otion of connections are linked throughout the piece. This is represented literally by the chains that hop across the painting, and also in the belly of the aforementioned figure, where the activity describes what swirling anticipation would look like if it were washed down with a shot of Jack Daniels. A leg is trapped in the back ground, submerged, and stuck in a place where if movements were even possible, they would still feel futile. Yet somehow, while we bask in the glory of hopelessness, Fortes completes the triad with two circle-ish squares with little triangle arms. They are linked together like a chain by the word advance, reminding the viewer to take pleasure in anguish because happiness would be nothing without it. The gallery will be open this Saturday (August 15th) from 10am to 2pm, feel free to drop in (with a mask on of course), and get a closer look at Navigating the Slippery Slope, as well as other works by Fortes, and our current exhibition Covid Blues!! Can't make it on Saturday? We've got you covered, call (916 453 2999) or email us to set up and appointment.

NEW ART HOARDERS!!!! Featured Piece: Proteus, By: Mary Warner The flower is captured in an in between state; the burst continuing on into the bloom. Clustered into a center point, a magnetic grouping occurs. Undeniably each piece is connected at the base from which they rise and then huddle together. Continuing outward each tendril unfolds on top of an aura that is purple and blue. ... The work itself is accented by the support that it sits upon; a black velvet panel that curves outwards towards the viewer resulting in the skewing of the audiences perception. The painting is made up of 100 or more individual gestures, and while the flower is synonymous with beauty, this one is also enticing, tempting, and hypnotic, producing an instinctive sensation similar to the head of Medusa. Warner's work is also featured in our new exhibition Covid Blues. The gallery will be open tomorrow (July 25th) from 10am to 2pm, feel free to drop in (with a mask on of course), and get a closer look at Proteus, as well as other works by Warner, and our new show!!! Can't make it tomorrow? We've got you covered, call (916 453 2999) or email us to set up and appointment.
