Many of you are aware that Andrew King (Andre & Joyce’s grandson) who helps run the show at Orland Bowl is facing the challenges of a recent cancer diagnosis... Andrew has always been a great friend to us at Java Lanes and to countless bowlers around the North State...He’s such a super guyPlease keep Andrew in your thoughts and prayers... We want to thank you all for the overwhelming response last night... We planned on having enough inventory to last a few days, but you helped us sell out of burgers (and pretty much everything else) in 3 hours! It was an uplifting, and at the same time depressing, night for sure. As a result, we locked the place up last night for what we are hoping is only a short break during which we will be keeping our fingers crossed that we will be permitted to open back up for indoo...r activities soon! Please keep following our page for updates if anything changes in the near future will will let you all know as soon as we know! Wednesday Night Bowlers.... The league meeting for tomorrow is canceled, however your pin money will be available for pick up between 7 & 8pm. Sorry, as much as we want to have you come in and hang out.. no lingering at this time.

As we are sure you are aware the State has implemented another statewide shut down affecting Bars, Restaurants, Theatres, and Family Entertainment Venues... which includes bowling centers. We are not permitted to allow indoor services at this time. Unfortunately, this time of year is notoriously slow even during normal times, and we struggle to limp through most Summers at least knowing there is an end in site with the return of Fall Leagues. That being said, we have m...ade the difficult choice to shut completely down for the next month (following a few days of food service through this weekend.) Our hope is that we will be able to have some, if not all, of our outgoing payments suspended until there is an end to this current shutdown... While we were touched by the support of the community when we were limited to to-go orders during the initial closure, at this time the overhead vs profitably of offering food to-go isn’t realistic. Our best chance right now is to freeze what expenses we have during these sizzling summer days, and keep our fingers crossed that this all passes quickly. Frankly, if it had not been for the generosity of our leagues, and other valued customers who have gone above and beyond in their financial support of their favorite little bowling alley, we wouldn’t have survived the first mandatory shut down... So it is with beyond heavy hearts that we are closing our doors at alleven if it is only hopefully temporary. Please stay posted here on facebook... We will do our best to keep you up to date on our status and let you know of any changes...
