How to save money for a home? Or anything else?? 1st: Set up a budget. (Know how much income you generate in a month and figure out what your expenses are.) 2nd: Every time you get paid take 5% right off the top and put it in a savings, retirement, investment account, shoe box, whatever you use to save. (5% isn't much but it's a start, and it'll begin to build the habit of saving money without taking a big chunk of money)... 3rd: Check your savings periodically to feel good about how much you've saved. That's it. It's pretty simple and everyone can do it. Tip: Start at 5% then after 3 months increase it to 10% then give that 6 months and bump it to 15%.
