As of Sunday, September 27th, our communities in Napa and Sonoma counties have been battling what is now known as the #GlassFire. We first and foremost want to reiterate that the safety and well-being of our employees, colleagues, friends and families is always our priority from ensuring our team members can safely evacuate, protecting our guests, and supporting our communities. This situation continues to be fluid and at this time, we are thankful that there are no reports ...of significant impact to our estate wineries and vineyards. In an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of all, we have made the decision to close our Napa and Sonoma county-based tasting rooms until we feel it is safe to reopen. A limited number of harvest operations have also been suspended in fire-affected areas, and our winemaking and vineyard teams continue to do an incredible job throughout this challenging harvest. We are extremely grateful to the first responders and firefighters who are working day and night to battle these fires. Our hearts go out to the many who have experienced damage and loss and ask that others be respectful as to the information they are sharing. We’ve been through a lot together and we are proud of the strength and resilience of our entire community both locally and across the globe. Thank you for your support as we continue to navigate the challenges this year has brought. Please continue to check local resources such as www.fire.ca.gov and our individual wineries for updates and the latest information.

2020 will forever be known as the year in which all of our lives were turned upside down. It's been seven months since we've adopted new phrases like "social distancing" and "essential workers". And all the while, the 2.7 million grocery workers who suddenly found themselves on the front lines, remain understandably overwhelmed and in need of support. Grocery workers are a direct extension of our business. So when our Kendall-Jackson team set out in search of a way to support... and found no national relief funds or ways to donate, we sprung into action. Kendall-Jackson in partnership with the United Way is proud to launch a first-of-its-kind 'Grocery Worker's Relief Fund' pledging to raise $2M by 2030. Please join us in supporting this incredible group of frontline heroes by donating at unitedway.org/groceryrelief. To learn more, visit wineindustryadvisor.com//kendall-jackson-partnership-unite.

Serving wine at the recommended temperature brings out its intended flavor profile, character, and helps bring balance to the aroma, flavor, and alcohol. Serve wine too cold or too warm and you'll miss out. This #RedWineDay, don't fall into the trap of "room temperature", which tends to hover around 70 and is far too warm. Yes, chilling your red wine is okay! We recommend serving your red wines between 55 - 65 depending on the varietal: 60 - 65 = Cabernet Sauvignon, Malb...ec, Merlot, Syrah, & Zinfandel 60 = Cabernet Franc, Chianti Classico 60 - 55 = Pinot Noir 55 = Gamay, Grenache See more

It is with great enthusiasm for the future that we announce the purchase of Giant Steps winery located in Australia’s Yarra Valley. Established in 1997 by Phil Sexton, Giant Steps is recognized globally for its single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines, considered benchmarks for the Yarra Valley. We are thrilled by the opportunity to collaborate with Phil Sexton (Founder, General Manager) and Steve Flamsteed (Chief Winemaker) who will continue in their roles at Giant Steps. Together, we embark on this next chapter with a shared commitment to Australia’s exceptional wines and lands. To learn more visit winespectator.com//jackson-family-wines-buys-australias-gi

As harvest begins in our vineyards and for our neighbors throughout California, we are once again reminded that Mother Nature is unpredictable and operates with her own plan. The past few days have been a somber reminder that the threats California’s landscapes and communities face from wildfires are very real and are occurring with more frequency. Within areas that are under mandatory or advisory evacuations, our operations have been paused. While this situation rapidly changes across Napa, Sonoma, and Lake counties, the safety of our employees, neighbors and friends remains the top priority. We'd like to thank the firefighters, first-responders and essential workers who continue to protect and serve our communities. For more information and to view the latest closures and warnings, please visit www.fire.ca.gov.

Cheers to #PinotNoirDay In 1988, our Santa Barbara County original, Cambria Winery Julia’s Vineyard Pinot Noir became one of the very first pinots crafted and bottled under our family name. Over the past 30+ years, we’ve helped to forge a path for some of the best cool-climate growing regions across California including the Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, and Anderson Valley before cruising up the coast to Oregon’s Willamette Valley in 2013. Today, our team farms over 70 different Pinot Noir clones crafting a range of Pinot Noir styles from refreshing rosés to bright and fruit-forward, savory, and yes, even an elusive White Pinot Noir (check out Maggy Hawk Wines). No matter what you chose to pour today, we hope you enjoyed a glass of one of the world’s most versatile grapes
