REFLECTING ON THE CHALLENGES OF 2020 We began this year looking forward to growing into our new yoga home. The space had been customized to accommodate the practice of Iyengar yoga and to fit the needs of our community. Our Yoga Center had been blessed by several Swamis and inaugurated with Corine Biria's workshop.... Little did we know the new space we would grow in to was digital! Like so many, we adapted: moving classes to several streaming platforms and offering recordings to fit scheduling needs. We struggled with technology, as did practitioners at home. But through it all, we continued to practice and did our best to support each other at a distance. In the end, we reconfirmed our commitment and resiliency, not just to Iyengar yoga but to all humanity. May 2021 bring us together - in person - once again. THANK YOU ALL & NAMASTE

By persistent and sustained practice, anyone and everyone can make the yoga journey and reach the goal of illumination and freedom. Many of you may worry that you are unable to meet the challenges that lie ahead. I want to assure you that you can. I am a man who started from nowhere; I was heavily disadvantaged in many ways. After much time and effort, I began to reach somewhere.... I literally emerged from darkness to light, from mortal sickness to health, from crude ignorance to immersion in the ocean of knowledge by one means alone, namely by zealous persistence in the art and science of yoga practice (sadhana).
